Here I am, a new fapstronaut. My friend had the guts to admit his fapness to our Bible study, and I didn't, but I decided to tag along with him on his journey to being clean. I'm in a very serious relationship with my girlfriend that I think is headed to marriage, and I know that things don't get easier once you're married. Because of that, I can't in good conscience carry on like I am and still date my girlfriend. I'm lying to her basically. Or cheating, whichever. And I'm sure not going to break up woth her, so that only leaves one option, which is the one that I want to take anyways. So when my friend threw it out there on 06/10/13 I decided that since I hadn't PMO'd that day, it might as well count as day one. And now it's day 3 and I'm doing just fine. So, here goes.

Hey dude, welcome. I remember being 20 and in your shoes. I'm 28 years old now, and I wish I had taken more seriously the fight against porn. No sense in regret; you can only push forward.

As a Christian, how are you incorporating your faith in your battle?

Well I asked my friend who shared at bible study and he put me onto this site. I'm going to be talking with two other solid christian guys that I'm good friends with, and then the three of them will be my accountability group. I'm also going to start really diving into the bible. That will hopefully help me to rely on God more.

Hi Daniel! I actually started NoFap on October 6 too, but only registered today. Part of my motivation to overcome pmo issue is because of my religious beliefs. I would like to help and support fellow fapstronauts and in turn get some support myself. I am no expert on relationships but I would warn you though that if you take your relationship with your girlfriend seriously you should come clean with her sooner than later. No relationship can thrive when there is secrecy involved. Openness and honesty is vital for a healthy relationship. From my personal experience and failure to overcome pmo issues one thing that I realized was that I was trying to keep things to myself and as a secret. In the end I found that secrecy does not work and I have to be honest if I want to overcome pmo or any issues. Best of luck to you and stay strong!

Well, I made it 8 days. Today I lost. But I have hope. I made it a full week with no issues at all. I'm not letting this failure end my war. On to the next battle. I'm going to win.

    Romans 8:5 NIV
Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
