Today I reached day 21 of being PMO free. I kept myself as busy as I could. Worked out 3 times a week, meditated for 10 minutes every day, cardio in between workout days, joined local Toastmasters club, joined local runner's club, signed up for 5k, on top of that I work 8 to 9 hours a day. I did not leave much energy or time to be tempted by PMO. But still had unwanted thoughts popping up here and there - I used a technique recommended by my accountability partner: to immediately start imagining something painful, very unpleasant (in his words: Instead of seeing the porn videos, I was seeing empty grey souls like images from the Holocaust! It literally disgusted me and I had to climb out). That technique worked remarkably well for me. I also read articles on yourbrainonporn.com and success stories on nofap pretty much daily to keep myself motivated.

I am reporting general well being, improvement in relationships, increased self confidence, decreased shame, increased productivity, creativity and faster decision making. I am more focused on myself (I don't care a bit what other people think or might be thinking - I am not over analyzing) I am much calmer and much more relaxed. I talk more to people, I am more fluent and have a better sense of humor (judging by people's reactions...). Also, noticed that women respond to me better - they seem to like my company more.

I still feel that I am not 100% cured though. I am setting another goal - 90 days PMO free (hard mode). Wish me luck! :)

    Life is GOOD!

  2. Nice. A full "reset" will take about 50-90 days so don't get frustrated. Just stick the course and all will be well. Good luck on your journey :D

Thank you! Good luck to you too!

  4. I loved it that you have decided to donate $100 on every reset. Did you had any after deciding to do this?

I put that 'fine' for relapsing to add some tangible and real consequence to my failure (on top of feeling bad and feeling like a failure). No, I have not relapsed yet. As I wrote in my earlier post, I keep myself extremely busy, so I don't have any energy/time left for PMO. That helped me significantly. Good luck on your journey!

Oh yes, it does feel amazing. I personally think it's because of the sense of accomplishment (that releases dopamine) and on top of that brain is slowly rebalancing itself. Good job on your 2 days of being PMO free! Keep going! You can make it! Believe me, it IS SO WORTH IT.
