As I mentioned in my last post, I started watching high speed internet porn at about the age of 13 or 14. I continued to watch porn for many years without realizing I was addicted to it. I didn’t realize how unhealthy watching too much porn was effecting me mentally and physically.

Due to my addiction, I suffered with PIED. It caused me to lose relationships and it brought me to a deep depression.

I thought I was never going to be healed. At 25 years old I decided to change and started Nofab. I went through a flatline; no libido, no morning wood, and always anxious. It was the worst, but I later understood that it was part of the process of healing.

I got into a long distance relationship this past January. She’s the main reason why I decided to change because I fell in love and I realized that having a connection with a person is much better and more beautiful than being stuck in front of a screen isolating myself from real people.

For the first six months I was not cured. Felt like I was improving but still had PIED. Went to see a doctor and got my self sildenafil pills. They worked, but I felt no pleasure. They pretty much numb your penis and make it difficult to orgasm. The side effects suck too, they would give me headaches and a blocked nose.

This has been a very difficult year as I began to make a change of my habits. But after eight months I can finally say I am PIED free. Maybe I was cured in seven months without realizing it. These past couple of days I’ve been having successful sex with out the use of pills.

Things that I believe helped me was exercising (weights and cardio), eating healthy, meditating, yoga, and prayer. I’ve also been taking L-tyrosine pills.

I want you guys to know that this is a process. You might feel like there’s no hope, you might feel like giving up, but there is a cure to this. You just need to be patient and embrace the flatline as it means that your body is in the middle of change.

There’s a chance that you might relapse, I sure did. But I didn’t beat myself up about it, it didn’t make me restart to 0. I would accept that it was a mistake and carried on with my healing process.

Everyone is different, it can take longer for other people to be cured. But you will be cured, that’s the mentality that you need to have.

I want to thank you guys for sharing your stories and notes, they truly helped me on my recovery. I’m definitely done with porn and masterbation.
Porn ruined a huge portion of my life, don’t let it ruin yours.

    Good luck guys. Much love.
