3 Months of Mind/Body Celibacy and Counting.......Thank You Team NoFap.

This is more of a thank you type post than a story.

I've decided I should hold off on writing a story and not write some half-assed page or something. If I'm going to write a story, it's going to cover my entire journey which is no short story post.

Thank you community and Team NoFap just for being here, here online and available for everyone and anyone struggling to live a better life and be free from the chains of masturbation and porn, free in a world where we are bombarded with messages telling us being chained is healthy for us, lol.

I actually hit 3 months on Monday technically, but I am at a place in my current recovery where I am no longer unsure of whether or not I will fap. That's not to say there won't be struggles in the future, no I'm sure there will be, LIFE IS A STRUGGLE. This is one reason I'm not writing a full story right now, I consider 3 months a baby step in recovery lol.

90 days is not a substantial amount of time in all honesty. It can take at least 6 months for a damaged brain to even return to a homeostasis, not to speak of one's psyche transforming to such a degree where relapse is no longer possible, which can take up to 2 full years as I have learned from various sources during my years of recovery.

I've already said more than I would like in this post.

So thank you, thank you for allowing me to reach a place where I actually feel solid enough to even say thank you in this section.

I no longer live in fear of my penis ruining my life. That's not to say I don't have work to do, no I work my ass off daily still. Maintenance is an ongoing process and slacking off is something I don't allow from myself anymore. I'm just at peace today knowing I found solid ground and as long as I will it, I can remain in this solid place. As the saying goes, where there's a will, there's damn sure a way.

We always have a choice after all. No matter what we are feeling in our mind and body.

Well then, until next time, which may be a year or more from now, who knows. The only thing guaranteed in this world is death. No matter how far along in recovery you may be, success is just not a guarantee in this world. That's the reality of things.
