Messing up in the morning. Gotta get up and get to my morning routine instead of laying around.

@Dorian Dashwood had the same problem. Developed habit of fapping every morning and wouldnt wake before I fap.

It helped me to wake up asap and outside of the house.
Or when I was really tired I used headphones and meditation -> you build self awareness and can manage your thoughts better step by step.

Hi everyone, I’ve jump on the bandwagon. I’ve been struggling trying to quit porn for 5years and nothing worked out. A little background about me, I’ve been masturbating to porn compulsively from a tender age of 17 to 22. I was at my lowest these 5years, my grades were bad, I was wasting a lot of time on porn and neglected work/school assignments. My porn-induced anxiety and depression was hindering my mental and physical well-being. I will reclaim what pornography took away from me, my happiness, my mental health everything. Day 0/30, Let’s rock on!!

Day 20 done. The last few days have been difficult. I've feeling angry at myself and my state of mind has often been negative. Probably as a result of this I've had more urges to PMO to struggle with. I've been able to cut most of them off pretty quickly but have followed a few farther in my mind than I should have. I'm hoping this is just a temporary stage and a part of the withdrawal from addiction that will pass.

    I'm at day 30/30!
Which means I'm gonna leave this thread and progress to the 60-day challenge. As for every addiction, I'm now past the hardest urges and in the habit of not fapping, which is nice. I wish you guys all the best, go for it ;)

I had the same urges/downs around 1.5 and 2.5 weeks. I read you feel the downs because your body is healing and adapting a new lifestyle, while still craving for the old and destructive dopamine doses.

I couldn't resist thinking a bit about sex here and there too, I think it's naural so nothing to worry about. The trick is to cut it off asap though, before you get too caught up and horny.
I'm sure you can do it, the end is near. :emoji_clap:

  17. Checking in and...wow, I've just hit 30/30 days!

I don't know mate, I think part of the "superhuman" thing is losing the shame, feeling alive again, like I don't have to hide myself anymore, and the self-confidence that comes from having achieved something really difficult, even if hardly anyone around you knows about it. I'm sure it really depends on your whole situation as to how much you'll experience it, after how long, and what it will feel like.

For reference, I feel the happiest that I have in a long time, sitting on 54 days, but I don't put it all down to the streak. I've also got into a good daily routine of morning exercise, bible reading & prayer and doing cold showers for about 6 weeks, and added meditation and avoiding alcohol on weekdays about 3 weeks ago. It all helps.

I've found the morning routine super helpful (see above). Get into it @Dorian Dashwood, if you dare ;)

    Welcome to NoFap!
