congrats @Figs666 on making it to day 30 and @Duellant for making it to two weeks... keep going guys..
I'm having too lots of cold showers In the mornings there's still a little overcoming needed. And it does so good! Looking forward to Autumn for that matter. The other day I had a tension in the shoulder, so I used cold and hot water (hot for the hurting spot). I wonder if such an alternating bath (or shower in that case) stimulates blood circulation even more than a cold shower. Because this is what you do when you have cold feet: alternate between hot and cold water.
Oh thank you very much, my friend. I see we both are in the third week now. @Figs666 awesome! This is a milestone.
How cold should you take a cold shower? Are you supposed to go with the hot water valve completely shut off or what? I'm trying to get into the cold shower challenge, but I am not sure of how to get the most benefits out of the process.
Well ! cold showers are great. The intensity of coolness of water depends on you. You can just use normal water or you can make it even cooler if you are ok with it. Just try to make it a habit and ENJOY your showers. Try it a few times and you'll get an idea about how cold your shower be!
I always take the cold shower at the coldest, e.g. no hot water mixed in at all. I think the kick with the whole thing is to get that shock you get when you enter the shower Day 71 with only cold showers!
I smoked some 5 MEO DMT this morning and got into shower all loved up . The hot shower was lovely but when I went full cold it was invigorating.
About two weeks it takes to build up tolerance . Then you will miss cold showers plus your immune system will thank you
Absolutely. Before the challenge, I always had hot showers... then I started with the cold ones and realised after a few weeks that I really like them and want to continue with them for long. During this time the tolerance increased pretty quickly and then it has continued to increase, although not as fast. After two months I celebrated with a cold bath for 10 minutes. I don't think I would have been able to do that in the beginning. My goal is to keep taking the cold showers for at least one year. It's still a hot summer here and now it's getting colder so it's going to be very interesting to feel the coldness during winter time... Right now, the coldest water I can get is around 12 degree celsius (53.6 F). During winter time I think it's going to be around five degrees! (41 F) Regarding the tolerance, I think I'm lucky I started during the summer to improve my tolerance before going for even colder water...
