I have been abstaining in hard mode for over a month now. I am really happy to achieve this.
Unfortunately, there were no superpowers like boost of energy, motivation or increased attraction. I am on flatline since day 3. Actually, It was easy since I didn’t get any urges.
For the positive results, I would say are a slight increase in my confidence and anxiety. Also, I can feel my buddy is recovering, it’s rock solid.
What helped me to achieve this were:
1. Avoid using social media in your bedroom
2. Intermittent fasting(twice a week)
3. Cold showers
4. Journaling
These are all I can say for now. I have been addicted for 9 nine years. So, it takes time. My next target is 60 days which I will post my results again.
Lastly, Here’s the quotes I reminded myself almost everyday:
“Nothing will change in your life unless you got over this addiction. I have observed this for 9 years. It’s like a life or death situation. I put this above all my goals and purpose in my life, more important than my career or family. I have to do it sooner or later. Relationship or marriage won’t solve this, instead makes it worse. Any career accomplishment won’t give you satisfaction or confidence like quitting this addiction. After all, the greatest victory is over self”
If you are dissatisfied with your life like me, this is the truth for you. Don’t give up guys.
