30 Days Meditation Challenge

    Thanks for your post @Mauritius

    I've been dropping the ball for a few days. I had a little accident on a slide at a swimming pool which led to a cut in my eye lid that had to be "glued". I wasn't in the mood for meditation that day after this incident (not an excuse), and I also relapsed with PMO.

    However, I meditated today. So I'm back on the challenge!

    Day 3: meditated

    I need to reduce screen time. I'm wasting too much time browsing Twitter... I also scroll tend to scroll it after midnight thus undermining my sleep. When I read today, I felt more relaxed but there's always that urge to check the smartphone, very toxic.

    Tomorrow, I will not indulge in 'digital entertainment' before 9 pm.

    Day 4: meditated

    I'm also integrating my 'digital detox challenge' in this thread. This night I couldn't sleep right away and I had the urge to check Twitter to keep me a bit entertained but I resisted it. I slept better.

    Today I took a bicycle trip to a city. In the evening I checked my smartphone for WhatsApp. Then I went for a walk and played some piano in a piano bar. Checked Twitter and the forum after 9 pm. Feels better!

    @StoicContemplation hey man, hope you are fine now. I couldn't reply earlier as I was busy with my exams. Sad to see you relapse, but good to know that you are not giving up.

    Aaand I relapsed. Fuck.

    I'm doing good now @Mauritius, thanks. I got out of the 'rut'. Eating clean again. Reducing screen time so less stress/more productivity.

    Hope your exams went good.

    Day 5: meditated

    I checked my smartphone a few times for WhatsApp but checked Twitter/forum only after 9 pm. I'm still 'doomscrolling' but it's an improvement that I'm limiting it now. I had the urge to check Twitter again after midnight. I will try to get rid off it all along.

    Not sure if I will be able to meditate tomorrow since I'm flying and I'll be sleeping in a hostel... I will try in the morning.

    Meditated on the plane yesterday. I though it was a good way to kill the time. It was a timer of 20 mins but eventually I did something like 12 mins because suddenly the plane started gradually descending and I couldn't resist the urge to look outside.

    Just reset my day counter. Been slipping back into a rut lately and it’s time to take action to get back up. Need the accountability, been trying to go it alone for far too long.

    I went out with some people a few days ago in the evening and I didn't meditate before that. I've been dropping the ball for a few days now. Meditated for 10 mins at my terrace.

  15. I'm in it as well. Today is my day 46 let's go after a year and let this be a healthy stress replacement for porn. We can do it!

    I will meditate, by simply focusing my mind on my breathing and my surroundings for 10 minutes. Starting now.

  19. Day 59. Meditation gives me everyday a little peaceful moment. It's like a small reset. I can def recommend to make it a daily task. Still somedays I'm like mwehhh but what is 10 min so I'm pushing myself to make it a full year.
