Checking in. Solid day today and going to bed feeling tired in all the right ways and not blurry eyed and exhausted in all the wrong ways.

  2. Thanks for posting these. I've been listening to them and others. I think I will start listening while I sleep too. I don't know how much the "placebo effect" is involved in the results, but anything that can help me give up P and M is worth a try, in my opinion.

Happy to report 7 days completed. Starting to feel the energy build, which feels great. With this also comes a higher risk of relapse of course and I tend to get complacent when I feel this good. Must be mindful to channel this additional energy into positive endeavors.

This past week also has not been particularly challenging in life. The usual stressors with kids, work, wife, house,... but nothing extraordinary. I am nervous about how I will do when something bad happens. When I'm particularly tired from the kids not sleeping well, when I'm particularly stressed at work, etc...

Every day is a test. Sometimes the test is easy. Sometimes I get many easy tests in a row and I think 'I got this! This one thing that I started doing this streak is the thing that will end all relapses!'. And then a really tough test comes......which is why I am still 'only' at day 7, ha!

So I'm taking this day by day. Mindful that there is no magic solution. Building good habits, making sure to take care of myself, and reminding myself of my intentions every day.

I have gained a new perspective. I used to feel disappointed about the many failures in my past. Now I'm appriciating the knowledge from experience.

For example, I'm feeling better, but I know I'm in a tricky spot with turbulent changes. I also know they will pass if I have faith to do the right things and wait.

Hi Guys, Checking in after a while. I have been busy. I realized that the more I think about nofap, the harder it gets for me. I was on a good streak but recently relapsed. Hope everyone is doing well.

After giving in to P, I spent the last week confused as to where I stand, how to measure progress, what counting days really does. Then, two mornings ago the urges within me became too strong, and I gave into M. (This reset completely unrelated to P, so...)

A discussion with my wife about things helped reassure my confidence in committing to NoFap and striving to reach a 90 day (and more) milestone. So, here's to a "proper" reset, and to taking another run at a long streak.

Checking in. Urges are swelling a bit but as I've posted before I expect this as I near 30 days so prepared to deal with it. Cold showers, wim hoff breathing, getting lost in guitar solos, and spending time with my son are all on my list today.

Quick check in, still good progress for me, have not given in to urge to look at Psubs even once. As it's been a few days since I last orgasmed and my sexual energy is way up, found myself musing today how strong of an impact recency of orgasm has on energy levels. And I don't just mean in a good way, but rather that this sexual energy I am feeling used to be released smoothly and easily with p, and now that that release is blocked, it can feel a bit unsettling and unsatisfactory not to find that release. I don't mean that I miss the porn (though of course in a way I do), but rather that the feeling of unsatisfied arousal is not resolved but persists. Of course I'm hopeful that over time I can find the right release rhythm with natural m and sex, but not there yet. In you guy's experiences, does that resolve over time as you get further away from last p use?

I think we come to expect an unhealthy level of "satisfaction". If we ate until we were satisfied at every meal, we'd be 900 pounds. On the plus side living a healthy way means it's something to look forward to and it provides a natural draw back to the one you love that doesn't go away. .. unless they shut you out too many times, but thats just my issue lol.

Checking in. These 8-14 day times are weird for me. A total roller coaster. Im on day 12 and I'm using my expierence to anticipate it.

It's still day by day time for me. Hoping to get into some nice normal stretches.

hey brothers - it all became too much for me last week. The briefest peek at a psub lead to my downfall to PMO. Again, it was hardly worth the effort and I really don't feel the "rush" so wtf am I doing? Just falling back into old habits. What I am learning is that I am still just 8 months into recovery, and I have to daily remind myself of my coping skills AND EMPLOY THEM. The last few weeks have been overwhelming for me on many levels and I ran out of gas and gave up without even trying to abstain. So back at it here, about eight days in.

Marital stuff is very difficult right now. The pandemic effects approaching a full year is weighing on all our resiliency individually and as couples. For those of us whose marriage was not stable when COVID started (mine wasn't) the last 11 months have been a helluva time to reconcile relationship difficulties. It's not going too well for me currently. It's also been a helluva tough time to overcome a PMO addiction. So let's grace ourselves with some positive recognition for achieving even one day free of PMO; and for those that have accomplished more - congratulations!

I have spent the last couple days thinking deeply about recommitting to beating my PMO addiction. To getting back to basics and refocusing on the constant effort to use my coping skills to maintain clean thoughts and actions. I do believe that a PMO-free life makes us better men - better human beings - to give us the best shot at having the best relationships we can in our lives. So I am counting on that for the future with my spouse.

I'm a rookie here, less than a year in and I have much to learn, but I do know that participating in this community is the one thing I can count on that helps me. Thanks all. Stay strong.
