50 days

    50 days.

    Grown in so many ways.

    I think the biggest thing that I have learned is that with behaviors I want to change or alter I have to pick one and focus on one. I have been running more and weight is dripping off, but that is not my focus. My focus is no PMO and healthy replacements. The replacements are why I am succeeding.

    I have also learned that if I am tired and hungry I'm not gonna succeed. So focusing on no PMO means that a healthy replacement for early morning (wood) sessions or late night boredom is a better breakfast and an earlier bed time.

    I have grown less dependent on using my smart phone. Which means more focused family time and more focused work.

    Is it hard? Yes. Literally. Every morning. The no P part has been surprisingly the easiest, but the no MO is still a challenge. Cold showers and cleaning house seem to be working though.

    I'm trying to figure out mood shifts. Sort of surprised by those as the lows (especially early on) felt awful.

    But I'm contributing to my household at an all time high level and I know I can do this for another 40 days. I'm trying to decide if it's just no P forever and occasional MO. I'll see. But I'm definitely seeing a slimmer, more
    Confident, better man in the mirror.

    The things that have helped me the most:

    Getting a haircut (helped my self esteem because I saw a younger me in the mirror)
    Shaving my hipster beard (again self esteem)
    Planning meals ahead of time
    Scheduling time with family and friends
    Music (the best distraction)
    Growing stuff in my garden (this has been huge-needs constant care-a great distraction)
    Accountability partners (thanks @Applehead and @AndySky180)
    Cold showers
    My journal here
    My counter app
    Reading as many journals here and watching as many YouTube videos as I can about this stuff
    Running

    So it is possible. And it's worth it.

    @Mybestlife Well....congratulations.
    Don't you think it would be better if you had actually spent some time writing something. So people has something to comment on :)

    @Mybestlife That is a lot better :) I have enjoyed reading. It is amazing how much our lives improve just by not playing with ourselves...
    As for MO, I would recommend you do go as much as you can without it. I have read some journals in which people have started masturbating after some point but they didn't return to watching porn.
    I know for sure that I can' do it, masturbation makes me weak and I end up watching porn. But you know yourself best.
