510 days new benefits

    Current streak: 510 days no PMO, semen retention.

    After 500 days streak I have noticed several new benefits:

    - I don’t watch anything on YouTube. I have not blocked it; simply my mind does not like it anymore. It was an issue, I wasted too much time on it
    - I have more energy in general
    - I deal better with girls and sex.
    - I grasp complex subjects more easily.
    - My dancing skills have improved.
    - I’m constantly making PRs (personal records) at the gym.
    - I’m able to wake up before 4am everyday with no problem. I have almost perfect sleep.
    - I can do heavy lifts early in the morning. It used to be hell activating my body very early, never got used to it. Now I can do it with no problem.

    think deeply why it is important no PMO for you until it becomes as important as breathing or eating, for me it is, then is almost impossible to relapse
    Healthy lifestyle: good food, sleep, no alcohol/smoking, everyday outdoors sports will give you healthy amounts of dopamine so less need to PMO

    Conclusion: maybe all this is not all due to the streak but it certainly helps, the streak gets stronger by the good habits and the good habits get stronger because of the streak.

    PS: I’m extremely thankful for this streak, this page has helped to clarify and fortify my self-awareness and knowledge about semen retention. Thank you all for listening. Always glad to help too.

    Yeah bro, I did the same shit. The time I spent on all other social media just went to YouTube. Three days out of 30 now for no social media including YouTube and music, helps to detox the mind of dopamine. I’ve been getting dopamine by achieving goals and with NoFap, everyday you pass successfully is an achievement. Stay well bro.

    Great and inspiring read! I'm glad you're getting value out of this forum, I have gotten much value from your posts :)

    This is something I'm struggling with. Maybe I need to dig a bit deeper within myself to find a some kind of deeper motivation. I don't have any religious reasons or anything for doing this and my motivations for keeping a streak have felt a bit mundane lately.

    I like spirituality and nofap helps because spirituality as anything in life, requires energy. Semen retention gives you energy.

    In western medecine we can't quantify the energetic body or the energy that comes from semen but it's well known in oriental medecine like tao and ayurveda.

    I do semen retention mostly for energy. Not because it's a sin or moraly wrong to waste it.

    That approach is quite rational try reading the tao of health, sex and longevity by Daniel Reid. Taoism mainly focus on energy.

    He explains why SR is important. Also the book the practice of brahmacharya by sivananda. This one has some hinduist teachings on it but is mostly about semen retention you can take out the hinduist aspect of it and focus just on SR

    SR also creates a strong psychological advantage, if you can handle the urge to ejaculate you can handle hard things in life more easily, because the need to ejaculate and sex is one of the greatest impulses in men.

    SR gives you more sexual energy and if you are into dating and girls, it's always better to be above a girl in all regards. Women have 10 times more sexual energy than men. Some can even have sex non stop. If you practice semen retention if you do it right you can have the same or more sexual energy than a woman.

    SR also makes your mind more subtle. Without lust you can think more clear about scientific, philosophical or spiritual subjects.

    Thank you brother! This has given me a lot to think about, and it will surely be valuable for me to contemplate a bit about the things you mention.

    Oh, and the book by Reid is actually on my reading list. I ordered it because I got curious about taoist practices after seeing your posts as well as other posts here and on other forums, about taoism in relation to rebooting.

    I can't stop having wet dreams. And I don't even consume porn materials any more.
    Never watched it again since the beginning of this streak and only got some flashback arousal from past active experiences with girls this summer.

    What can I do?

    Hello my Italian friend. The easiest way is to simply have sex. The other ones can be tricky if you have the tendency to wet dreams:

    To reduce wet dreams:
    Learn to do nauli kriya. You have to block all your pelvic muscles when the need to ejaculate appears in the dream. It's like contracting to the inside your abs like hiding your stomach, contract your glutes, anus, also the muscles that are over your penis even like contracting your penis this creates the blockage of the pelvic muscles so if they are block the contraction muscles in charge of ejaculation gets inactived.

    You'll have to do it in a semi conscious state but it's possible. Practice it while being awake with an empty stomach. Better to do it when you just wake up.

    Practice some lucid dreaming techniques, write a dream journal right away you wake up, if you can wake up in the middle of the night and stay awake 30 min then go to sleep again that way is more easy to have a lucid dream.

    - Avoid seeing girls images also no fantasies before sleep
    - lustful look at girls during the day, you dream what you do during the day
    - Empy your bladder before sleep. If the bladder is full it's more easy to ejaculate.
    - Eat lightly at night, a full stomach creates pressure around the muscles in charge of ejaculation and it's more easy to ejaculate.
    - Reduce the heat in the room a hot body is more prone to ejaculate.
    - Try not to work out a lot before sleep, at least 3 hours before sleep.
    - Practice sleep hygiene meaning good sleeping habits
    - Have strong abs and do squat it helps having more control of pelvic muscles
    - Use the bed only to sleep, don't jerk off, eat or watch TV on it. That way the subconscious only associates the bed with sleep and not ejaculation.

    Conclusion: Controlling wet dreams involves controling dreams and intermediate states between wakefulness and sleep state.

    It's an experience once you are able to feel the power of semen retention you won't let it go. For the time being it can even be an unpleasant feeling, even tension. That is why people feel good after a relapse, they can even have a post nut clarity moment. But after some time you realize all you just waste. The point is learning to handle this powerful energy, if you don't it can disturb you.

    Just like doing weights when you start you are not very good at it you don't see many results, most people will never have a great body. Only few dedicated ones will be able to learn how to activate their muscles the right way and go to the pain to be strong and have a body above average.

    The usual path is having a decent streak, relapsing and coming back up. That is enough if you just want to get rid of porn addiction. But if you want to master semen retention, then that is a lifestyle. A complete change in your perception of sex, pleasure and even reality itself.

    Yes, this is the cycle my life seems to be heading towards right now. I built up a SR streak that lasted for 93 days and I did experience a slight difference in myself, but my main motivation from the beginning was to cure my problems with porn.

    I guess I'm in a kind of confused state in what I really want to get out of this journey, on a fundamental level. During my streak, I definitely felt that I wanted to somehow reinvent my approach to sex, energy, etc. as you suggest, but I cannot really put down in words what my heart was trying to tell me. I guess my strategy now will be to try and build an even longer streak, powered with good habits, contemplate my experiences, try to study about reboot and SR more, etc. And eventually, maybe I will find out what the heart wants to do.

    It requires a special type of sensitivity. It's not easy, to feel your sexual energy. A lot of self awareness.

    I simply knew it since day 1. My father was a great help simply by his presence I could felt his energy, not many other men I have felt such strong presence, only in some old advanced yogic monks.

    He is a reflection of what semen retention is. He practiced it all his life. So I simply knew, it was the right way to go, to emulate his stance, his power. It was more easy that way.

    Try reading if you can't see in real life a long time semen retention holder. That is a great help. See it to believe it. Or maybe search on YouTube. I think Luke gold has an interview with a 15 years semen retention holder

    It's great that you had a father who could demonstrate the path for you, leading by example. I will, as you suggest, try to find guidance in studies on the subject; books, articles, podcasts, Youtube videos, etc. It would be great to meet someone successful on the SR path, but I don't know how to find such people right now, I have to think about that one.     One important point is finding the joy of doing semen retention, of no PMO

    If you are simply forcing yourself to make a streak then eventually you'll fail. You are going to put your guard down at some point because you are stressed out, tired, lazy...

    I have enjoyed every single day of this 500+ streak and to be honest many days I was lazy and didn't do any special meditation, sports or anything.

    I just like doing semen retention. You need to find the joy in it. Then there is no effort.
