So, I haven't seen any porn or porn substitutes in about a year and I haven't had an orgasm of any kind in about six months. Honestly, these dates are kinda fuzzy since after a while of nofap you forget I forgot I was doing nofap and it's just kinda routine now. I still get urges every once in a while but they're very manageable.

I think one reason I had so little difficulty quitting is because I've been on anti-depressants for a couple of years now. Frankly, I don't think about sex anymore at all. I've had less than 5 morning erections since I quit MO and no nocturnal emissions.

Frankly, I'm sexually dead but that's okay with me since I don't have a relationship. I'm hoping that if I meet someone and hit it off maybe I can get off the anti-depressants and hopefully be able to perform though I have my doubts.

Anyway, it was pretty difficult to quit actually in the beginning. Learning to let urges come and go was difficult at first but now it seldom rises to the level of annoyance.

Oh yeah, and no super powers :(. I was pretty skeptical about these so-called super powers to begin with but now in my mind I've proven that they don't exist. I'm pretty much the exact same person I was before I quit PMO but now I never think about sex which I'm not really sure is healthy anyway. Could just be that I'm getting older and the hormones are winding down. Who knows?

Anyway, this is my success story.

    Thanks.

  2. For all these months you haven’t had a sexual partner? Have you tried?

Um, well yeah, I've made a couple half-hearted attempts. I thought I was going somewhere with this chick at a party then another dude swept in who was way more handsome, funnier, smarter, college educated (basically better than me in every way) and she practically fell in love with him. That was kinda disheartening but to be honest I'm a mentally ill shut-in. I don't get many opportunities to meet women. Even if they can get past the fact that I'm almost 300lbs, I'm mentally ill and don't have a job so my chances with women are pretty much nill.

  4. It sounds like you would benefit prim a professional therapist. Thinking that because someone is college educated makes them better than you is crazy. Some of the dumbest people I’ve seen were college educated. Looks are up to interpretation, you can’t give up and think somebody else is better, you have to fight.

A guy with a college education has a better shot with a high-caliber woman, in my opinion. I should have a degree but I got sick in my last semester. That's fucking life I guess. Besides it's not just the degree. He was a superior alpha male and he had her laughing and dancing with him and all that. I know when I'm outgunned.

  6. You’re way too down on yourself. I have always been scared socially and that’s something I’m working on. But I would never be so down on myself and look st any other guy as being better than me. Alpha male? What kind of shit is that? He breathes and bleeds the same as you.

High caliber woman? Give me a break, believe me I’ve seen hot attractive girls with guys that are ugly as all hell, fat as cows, and pants on backwards retarded. It’s all in your mind, you can do it.

However losing weight is definitely something you should do for health and aesthetic reasons and your self esteem, but don’t use it as an excuse!

super power , i think that the energy and peace which you have attained because of the journey to PMO free use it to make your life a happier one .
Remember the days when you were suffering because of PMO . Now since you have abstained you are there with ample productive time and energy . what do you want more . I think that it will be great for you to start something great and accomplish it with flying colours . All the best buddy . "Always remember why you started this journey"

  9. Well done on cutting out the PMO!
Now, you need to work on your other issues..
    Step by step man.
I think you should see a therapist, and take heart from the fact that you have beaten one of your addictions!

Now I don't see the "superpowers" anymore but trust me dude. I have always gone to the gym but after going under this nofap streak, I've been able to gain mass and strength at a faster rate and have also been complimented by both females and males. ( which is very new to me)

so go to the gym and work on yourself. You can become your best version! I have faith in you :)

I think anti-depressants are poison, but that's a personal non medical opinion.

I think you've done an incredible work with nofap, you are on the right track, now you should just go to the gym to improve your body and feel better with yourself.

Well, guys, I'm stuck on the anti-depressants for now. I think they actually work for me. I haven't been feeling as depressed lately and I'm on the lowest dose but still I get these sexual side effects (low lobido, can't maintain an erection). But since I don't have a lady friend I don't really care. In fact it works to my advantage 'cause I'm not getting all horny all the time and fighting urges to PMO. It's basically a drug-induced flatline.

Anyway, I've decided the next logical step is to quit smoking. I might hit the gym today too - I dunno - but for now, I'm taking it one step at a time. Wish me luck!

  15. Yeah man, quit smoking!
Vaping did it for me: first with juice that had nicotene, then with 0%.

I’ve tried to quit with vaping before. I have a pretty nice rig. It just never did it for me. I’m using the patches.

  17. What kind of anti depressants you are using right now? &yeah antidepressants make you feel sluggish & you attain no benifits from nofap when u are on antidepressants...Just tell your therapist that I dont want to be dependent on antidepressants anymore he will decrease your dosage slowly & will stop it forever..But remember dont go "cold turkey on quitting antidepressants...&Congrats for one year success ;)

If you don't mind me asking something exceptionally personal (you can pm if you prefer) - what are you eating and drinking? Do you get out much for vitamin D? Any exercise? I'm just curious. Nofap is only one hormonal adjuster amongst many in our complex bio-chemical systems. So sometimes you don't get the full picture into someone's life. But again, very personal thing to ask. :)

  19. Thing is, people need to try things again and again (but in different ways sometimes) before they work. I did it with vaping because I told myself I can kid myself into change. One month I was smoking 20 a night, the next...nothing. Don't take 'you' too seriously. You are changeable. Me too. You've made a great start.

Um I'm very surprised that you have seen any effects of this abstinence besides not thinking about sex. Based on all the research I have done on porn addiction, it has has really nasty effects on your brain compared to that of drug addiction. Were you really that addicted? How often did you PMO?
