Hi guys and girls,

I am approaching 6 months of NoFap.Started out with a 30 day challenge and it just got longer and easier. I have no desire to look at porn or to masturbate any more.
My life has changed for the better and I am in control in so many ways.I see women through different eyes. I find it easy to keep away from porn if I don't go looking and so can you. It's all in your thinking, so when you notice you are heading towards PMO, GET UP MOVE AND DO SOMETHING ELSE!

Don't give up, your Mojo is your natural inheritance.

Don't give up.

CK :p

I guess there is some of that in the beginning as your hormones get mixed up. Still, as ChundaKing says, just ignore it, move on and do something else.

@ChundaKing, nice score, 6 months!

You're a fucking inspiration ChundaKing! Most warmest congratulations brother, thank you for all you bring to this beautiful community!

And also kudos for starting hard mode! Must not be easy after 6 months.

Hey Chundaking I have a question. When you first started nofap did you experience any anxiety or depression and if so when did it go away?

Hi Rahil, Of course there was anxiety and depression, I was riddled with it, and it hasn't gone away fully, but now i have more control of it, of myself and a burning interest to do well and be healthy!

Let me just say that the past 6 months of my life I have been very determined to change my bad habits (not just PMO), which means for me I have had to find ways or methods(tools) to do this. I haven't solely relied on NOFAP because I needed other complimentary constructive methods along with nofap. NoFap has been a catalyst to give me the desire and energy to do good to myself and seek change. This is crucial in kicking habits (desire and seeking ). You have to want it.Without porn and masturbation your depression and anxiety will decrease in time yes, it is hard though because a lifetime of habit is usually associated with other things, for me it was- when i feeling down or unhappy I would PMO and I would feel better. So my anxiety and dep was associated with PMO. After a time of NOFAP your brain will change and these associations will change, but you need to substitute your fapping behavior with something else that gives you the euphoric feeling that fapping did, so your brain can change the pathways to associate the good feeling with the new constructive thing eventually eleminating the new of PMO.It takes time and determination. For me I focused on work and getting things done spending time with my family and studying, there is a sense of great accomplishment( good feeling) in completing difficult tasks.

This is vital-->For me it was crucial to know or observe when the depression and anxiety start affecting my behaviour and functioning leading me to PMO, because it is at this point of realization that I need stop and think and to do something else.To move out of the old habit.

I hope I haven't confused you and answered your question.

Cheers

Good to know that you don't have thoughts of masturbating or looking at porn after a long period of time. I'm looking to stop fapping for that long but for the meantime I'm challenging myself to do 30 days first on hard mode. This gives me encouragement to abstain from masturbation longer so I'll see how it goes. Thanks for the post!

You're doing really great, Congratulations! Everything we do first starts with a thought. If we can control our thought, we can control our behaviors.

This makes a ton of sense. I'm going to try focussing on that "substitute" when I'm getting urges. Good job with meeting your goals!

I dont think he’s gonna be able to see your message. It says hasn’t been active on here in almost 4 years.

Regardless, I hope all’s well, maybe he’s moved past this obstacle and parted ways with nofap website after growing past it, idk.
Thanks for replying. I haven’t had a tough time until now after day 20. I’m on the verge but staying strong.
