The last time I logged onto nofap and actually put any effort into myself with the site was probably longer than six months. Six months was the last time I reset my counter. Anyways on to the rant.

Why I actually left the site is unclear, it was not out of anger or giving up. I never did or have given up. During this past six months I learned a lot I started going to sex Addicts Anonymous and it taught me a lot that this site is sometimes very clueless too and I recommend anyone who is suffering from porn addiction to check them out. A lot of the people who are there are for porn addiction. If you really think about it porn addiction and sex addiction are the same thing. The real truth is there is nothing on this site or anywhere else that is going to keep you away from porn. The only thing that can keep you away from porn is yourself and even then you have the chance of flipping through t.v. channels or a friend or co-worker showing you a picture of a naked girl. That's were recognizing your triggers and having a support system comes in. I made a 45 day streak and broke it in the very end of November after thanksgiving, and that's were I made my mistake. I been relapsing every couple of days since and improving my life at the same time.

I know that's hard to believe I been staying involved with my hobbies, working on my health financially and mentally. I finally went to the Dr. and got prescribed anxiety/depression medicine and it helps greatly and working on my spiritual health something that's all been close to dead for a long time. The point that I'm trying to make and what I learned that's the most important is that it's not over when you relapse and you can still improve your life even though you may not be getting this part exactly right.

I hope this makes sense and helps some people on here. When I logged on one of the first couple posts I saw was people saying that it was over or if they couldn't get this right they were going to end it. This saddens me and is only a temporary problem that we can all fix if we want to hard enough.

Thank you for the post man! I am approaching 50 days monk mode and I wanted to ask you about symptoms of mine. Some trembling like today, still waking up at about 5 am but using breathing techniques which is helping but not getting that full eight hours. Is going to bed earlier in this case better or maybe a 20 minute walk before to get myself tired..?? I have restless legs now which makes me not want to sit at work. How long before that settles down you think ..

I usually get restless legs when I sit for too long or don't get enough exercise in the day. So a 20 minute walk would probably help. It can also be caused by medication, and high blood sugar. That may be something to look into if it persists.
