  4. I'm guessing he's refering to a position where you sleep on your right side. (You are never to sleep on your left side, due to the organs being pulled down by gravity onto your heart.) The left arm and leg are at roughly 90 degree angles. Right arm and leg are straight.

This is my guess. I don't know. I'm inferring from my own qigong studies.

Hi HMHU, am really grateful for the work you are doing here. I've been reading this thread for quite some time, though I haven't really finished it up.

Anyway I found this thread when I was looking into how to stop wet dreams. I am in Nofap Monk mode and so far I've not slipped. But about 2-3 months ago, I started having wet dreams. I noticed that each wet dream would put me back by about 1 week plus, so I was really disturbed. I looked for solutions and I've read a lot of the advices people gave about it, including the advices given here. At first, I would normally have a wet dream after 3 weeks. I noticed that my urges peak on the third week, and that is when I'd usually have a wet dream. All the same, I wanted to stop it completely so I have been practicing the kidney stretching exercise that Soaring Eagle advised. I do so every night before going to bed. I also don't think naughty thoughts. In fact, I've been living like a monk for the past few months. I stopped watching TV and only did so once last week, after a couple of months of not watching (I watch Micheal Jackson's videos once in a while though since he's my icon, taking special care never to watch the slightly naughty parts). I've also been practicing the 6 Tibetan Rites for about 2 weeks. I also stopped sleeping late at night and sitting too much. I literally stand up for 30 minutes and sit for 30 minutes (I've been slacking lately in this regard though but I still don't sit for a long time). Am also very aware of my thoughts but I've not really succeeded in cutting out negative thoughts completely, I just disbelieve them when they come up.

Anyway, last Friday, I had a wet dream despite doing all these things and I was really bothered about it (it was exactly three weeks since I had the last one) so I went on researching how to stop this completely, then I read that eating animal protein, eating spicy foods and taking too much protein in general are really massive contributors, not only to wet dreams, but also to sexual urges in general. I've not been eating meat for at least 4 months now but every Tuesday and Friday, I usually ate beans in a rather large quantity, and I've noticed that my wet dreams would normally come on Fridays on the third week. I've therefore decided to cut back on the amount of beans I ate on these days, but never to give it up completely since its my main source of protein.

On Monday, I ate late at night, about an hour before going to bed, and the food was spicy but I had no option. I made the mistake of not waiting for at least 2 hours before sleeping (that would mean sleeping after 11 PM) so I also had a wet dream after 2 days of having the last one. The next day was beans day. I've ramped up my kidney/bladder exercise on that day to 500 instead of the normal 200. I did 300 during the day, then 200 before sleeping at night. I also cut down my beans intake and did not take my dinner, nor did I drink anything after 6 PM. Of course there was no sexual thoughts, but there was a little affection thought since a girl called my in the evening. We didn't talk but I though a little bit about her and some other girl. Again, nothing sexual at all. This particular night, I was at my very best. I even woke up at 3 AM to transmute my sexual energy since I've discovered that I always had erections around that time. I didn't want to arouse myself during the day only for that purpose. After that, I slept again then around 5:20 AM it happened. I had a fucking wet dream again!. Damn I just don't know what to do at this point. I woke up baffled. I normally wake up by 6 AM so it was useless sleeping again. But at this point, am really afraid of sleeping at night. This is the first time I've had two wet dreams in succession. The lowest time I had between wet dreams is about two weeks, and three weeks has been my highest since the last 2 - 3 months. Before then, I've not had one for close to 9 months. I really don't know what to do at this point HMHU. Please can you advice me? Anyway I've been on nofap for more than a year, but after my first 'major' relapse, I decided to go on Monk mode, and I've never relapsed since then. Please help me!!!!!

  8. You're clearly obsessed with this. If you quit porn and masturbation, you're good.

Look, causation is logically impossible to prove. All remedies are logical fallacies. A guy does the BaDuanJing kidney exercise and his wet dreams stops soon after. Did the exercise stop it? Or maybe it was his diet? His sleep position? Or maybe even some internal mechanism that was causing them ceased because the seasons changed. We don't know.
When I joined the Army, I had been fapping two-three times a day for years. Stopped for nine months because of Basic Combat Training and AIT. I had a wet dream after something like seven months of not fapping and no fantasizing. I was not on qigong or even thinking of NoFap. It's just what my life was. A qigong master would say my kidney qi was replenshed from NoFap, and no sexual thoughts, and decent sleep. But I still had a wet dream. Why? Who knows. First one I've ever had in my life. I've had them a few times years later (and after discovering NoFap).
Wet dreams have no known single cause. So there is no known single remedy. You tried the baduanjing, it clearly is not working for you. I say just chill at this point. If you're on nofap, you're fine. My guess is that you're a teenager and your body is just ejecting dead semen. Chill.

Also, you're doing the exercise wrong. Soaring Eagle is a gamma male. He lies and exaggerates to make points while being highly educated in the specialized area of NoFap And TCM. One of his biggest lies that you took to is how to perform the BaDuanJing kidney exercise. This is how it's done:

It takes the qigong master forty seconds to do one rep. NO ONE is doing that 200-500 times. If you are, you're doing it wrong and making it not work. This is a neigong exercise. You are only to be exercising the qi. You are focusing on moving the qi from the yaoguang to the mingmen (the balls of the feet to the lower back) and then back down. It is a qi circulation exercise. Not The Bend And Reach that the Army does. If you do this for hundreds of reps, it ceases to be a qi exercise. Because now you're making your blood slop around and are working the back muscles and hamstrings. It is a slow, meditative exercise. The practioner in the video says to only do it 12-24 times.

I have this to say about wet dreams: When you've tried all possible means to stop this phenomenon from occurring, yet you didn't win, stop fighting it!

You see, we all are fighting wet dreams, but we are forgetting one thing: Karma

Karma always takes its course no matter how hard we try to prevent it. Most of us have been MOing for years. All the while, we've been pilling up karma for ourselves. This is the time to pay it back, and wet dreams are the final phase of it. If you're now having wet dreams, be lest assured that you are almost healed. A few months from today you will look at this stage and be glad you passed it.

Some brothers practice what Soaring Eagle preaches and it works for them, some others do the same thing and it doesn't work. For those that it had worked for, they've paid up their karmic dues. For people that it doesn't work for, we are still paying. This is the way I've come to look at it.

Wet dreams are part of the rebooting process. In my own opinion, it should be taken the way we take normal porn reboot. During porn reboot, we persist in enduring our agonies. We tell ourselves that this does not last forever, and eventually, everything stops. We should apply the same mindset to wet dreams. Wet dreams will not last forever. We were there when it began. Some of us have been rebooting for 9 months without a single wet dream, then all of a sudden, wet dreams started occurring. One thing I do know about life and every thing that has a start is this: everything that has a beginning must have an end. The world has an end. Our lives have an end. We've hit rock-bottom in our porn addiction, and that too had its end. In the same vain, wet dreams must also have its end. Regardless of whether it is now occurring everyday, a day shall come when it shall cease to happen. A day shall come when we shall live for a whole year without having it, and without engaging in any sort of activity to prevent it, except living a chaste life. We should learn to embrace our wet dreams, no matter how much we suffer after each occurrence. We should allow ourselves to be seriously dealt with it. If anything, the suffering we pass through as a result of it should remind us never to fap again till we die.

The more we fear wet dreams, the more it has power over us, the more it occurs. It is the law of the universe that we attract what we fear, for fear itself is a strong feeling. Feelings make our thoughts more likely to happen. Therefore, abandon all fear for wet dreams. Live with it. embrace it. If you've tried all you can in the past to stop it and it doesn't stop, please do yourself and your wellbeing a favor and stop fighting it. We are Nofappers, our goal is to conquer and subdue by being chaste. As long as we remain chaste and cultivate our health like soaring eagle said (but ignoring fighting wet dreams, especially when we've fought without stopping it), we must also conquer this. We fight to win! If we run away from this last fight, then we are not warriors, we are chickens. Our motto should be this: We face it and fight it, then we conquer it

  15. I think I finally found one of the main keys to success. This is like a major treasure in NoFap. I hope to read the entire content from Soaring Eagle that is available here. I want to go through the content in an analytical manner.

I take it that some of the methods are like adjuncts while other strategies one their own if they are developed to perfection, then those individual strategies themselves individually will be the cure and help in the maintenance of long term celibacy in an effortless manner. For example, if mindfulness of breathing meditation is continued for an indefinite period of time, then one reaches a state which is better than the best possible sexual orgasm which means that sex becomes an uninteresting activity after that - hence the beneficial outcome of long-term effortless celibacy (provided if one keeps maintaining one's meditation).

This sound veird to me. Meditation is calming, and eventually can help you fall asleep easily. But, I will not be judgemental. And for now am open to almost all his suggestion.

It is is in reality, suggestion No 9. I don't know why I can't delete the number 1.
