60+ days without porn, some lucid dreaming.

  1. Hello everyone.

Never thought I would be posting a success story. Things were a bit touch and go at the beginning of lock down. I think I have finally put porn away for good. I just feel a lot happier within myself and my family have noticed it too, although they don't know why. The biggest thing for me is I no longer feel confused about my sexuality. I thought I was A-sexual at one point or maybe even gay as I just wasn't attracted to girls I saw out in public. The most beautiful girl in the world could walk right past me and I would feel nothing. Yet porn was always so enticing, so I knew there was something wrong.

There is a burn in my belly again and it's for the real thing. My sleep is a lot better too and been having a few lucid dreams lately which hasn't happened since I was a child. I like to go flying when I'm lucid :)

I still MO and am working to pull away from that too, but one thing at a time, one day at a time. So for anyone still struggling with this addiction, there is a way out and life is waiting for you. My best wishes :)

Great, my friend! It's good to know that only quitting porn can work too. It didn't work for me, but if one can stand the temptation it apparently can do the trick. Keep strong!

The lucid dreaming is significant because if you're aware you're dreaming, you are conscious and can consciously decide not to act out on sexual thoughts. Of course some people might do the opposite, but the point is you're in a state of mind to choose because you're aware it's a dream.

  4. It has been quite an experience and it has certainly highlighted the power of choice. Becoming aware of illusion. Whats your experience? Does this happen to you?

No I don't have a lot of dreams or rather remember them, it may be interesting to work on it at some point because after all it's just being aware you are dreaming. It does come through to some extent in that when I'm in the half asleep state I still have the awareness I don't need to act out, and at least once I remembered in a dream I had that choice.

  6. Okay, I think it is something you can work on. Hope you get to experience it one day, it is special.
