Hello, my name is Joe. I am 19 years old, a freshman in college & I'm new to the forum!

I have been dealing with porn addiction & masturbstion for quite a long time. 7 days ago, I took the decision to stop for good and here I am! After successfully completing my first 7 days, I thought to join the NoFap community to celebrate my small achievement and share it with you guys!

I'm really excited about finally not letting porn takeover my daily life. I honestly feel much confident now about myself that I am able to control such a habit.

Quite excited for what yet to come. I have read a couple of posts here that mention that it is much harder after a week passes but I am up for the challenge! (I guess, lol)

Anyway, I hope you're sll having a great Saturday. Happy to meet new members here!

  2. First off, I really like the name you chose. Cracks me up. Now go get yourself a really cool avatar. Personalize.
Second, and more importantly; you have the perfect attitude for this. Do not lose your resolve, or that sense of humor, as you plow through what will be, at times, a hellish challenge (especially in college, holy shit, dude). Keep finding inspiration in what others post, explore the different forums here, and regularly post yourself. New content helps us all.

  4. Welcome. There are phases where it's both harder and easier. At some point you will read about the flatline, that can last a while but it's why it's not just a matter of biding time. I don't believe just abstinence alone makes for success, it may give you enough mental clarity so you can live life in a more healthy way but then we have to actually invest that time in making those changes, otherwise you're just hanging out at home online a lot still even if it isn't with PMO.
