Good luck! I am on the same path. Also have dealt with HOCD and PIED. I have been on a long streak and things are going well so far. I am 28 years old and I have tried many times to stop using P. I made it for 30, 60, even 90 days once. However, all of those times I still managed to fap without P but often times with SSA thoughts. This time around, I decided not to fap at all and I can say it has been hard but the best decision I made. I am no longer frustrated with that portion of recovery because it's removed. I know someday my natural attraction to women will come back fully and I can live a normal life again.

God bless you on your journey and I wish you the best. I'll be right here fighting along the way with you.

  10. Mid-day 5.

Last night, I had sex. This morning, I felt positive. I then went to the gym. I am now in an afternoon depression. It's so strange - it starts as a lingering anxiety, then hits as this hard, mind-consuming, cold depression. And I just have to live through it till its gone.

*KEY POINT* It is in this 'depression' stage that you are most likely to make bad decisions. You're most likely to renege on your NoFap commitment. You're most likely to eat junk food. You're most likely to be lazy. In my experience, the two biggest triggers are: depression and tiredness.

But I'm doing it this time. I'm reaching 90.

  11. Really appreciate the post.

You know, this is just a thought - what we are attempting to do is a form of mind control. Dangerous exposure to porn has played on something in our brain - perhaps an insecurity, a susceptibility to addiction, its rewired pathways - at the very least, it has raised the bar for the extremity of what we must witness to get that dopamine hit. We need to have the admirable self-discipline to control what we think and avoid the intrusive thoughts that tell us what to do.

From my own experience, after years of confusion and hopelessness: things definitely get better.

PIED - drastically improved, nearly to the point it is no longer an issue whatsoever.
HOCD - has definitely got better. But still some way to go.

    We're going to make 90!

its great to hear that you made progress with PIED. one of my biggest fears is that I won't make progress and the problem will remain. But I am anxious to feel and see the results after a long streak.

  13. 6pm day 6.

Returned from sport late afternoon and felt a heavy depression hitting, again. 2 days in a row of an afternoon depression.

Day 6 will be a walk in the park.

  15. Day 7: Hungover. Feeling (mentally) positive. No anxiety/depression. Increased sex drive which is a positive benefit - motivated to go and meet new girls.

  16. Day 10: if Day 6 was the lowest I've felt and Day 7 was the highest I've felt then I'd say Day 10 has been in the middle of those two.

Side point: heavy drinking ruins routine!!! When I'm knocked out of routine so many things go to shit. Currently trying to get back on the right path again, because I've fallen off. I'm an addict to cheap alcohol and cheap dopamine.

  17. Day 11: I'm doing it. Woke up really late today - AGAIN - after my routine and commitment to myself had been ruined from binge drinking on a night out. Could've had another unproductive today, but I decided not to. Small steps.

Feeling good. Feeling positive. NoFap definitely helps me with my drive for life and for meeting women.

21 days makes a habit, is it? I have exams at the start of May. I guess I must form the habit of waking up early, starting now. NoFap helps that.

Hi, I've been struggling all my life with this and only recently found out about this community, which I had no idea it existed, to be honest. Through prayer Jesus had lead me to this and I'm soo happy i found it.

throughout my 13 days of nofap, I've been experiencing urges to almost relapsing from day 12, but looking at my day counter has kept me progressing. Too many bad thoughts are bouncing in my head and have been a major distraction throughout the day. I'm really struggling guys, but I'm trying my best to not give in.
