Hi! Well, that's why the 90-days challenge is so popular! I think it says somewhere on nofap.com that after 90 days most people start seeing the real benefits. Sure there are some earlier benefits on as well, but 90 days is generally a good aim for permanent results.

A while ago I've been off PMO for a year. And I can attest to the fact that longer abstinence brings greater benefits. Mainly, in my experience, because abstinence becomes automatic so you don't have to fight the urges much if at all. That gives you a lot of energy and time for other things.

So don't give up. Don't expect results too soon. Stay with it. You know you want to!

Hey guys. How are you finding the caffeine/coffee abstinence? I'm contemplating it, but I'm sort of afraid that if I fight two addictions at the same time, it'll be too much. Any thoughts?

Does it make you sleep better? Does it help with nofap?

Day 7. One week! Good, but I got here many times before. Next week, that'll be much tougher.

Had some triggering dreams last night, still have some recurrent urges from that. But feeling confident.

  13. I love caffeinated coffee and tea but my body doesn't like it. I get heartburn, anxiety, irritable bowel syndrome, hemmyroids and insomnia from caffine. So when I avoid it, I am more relaxed, in the moment, sleep better, not peeing as much at night and less heartburn and anus trouble.

The best remedy for better sleep though is to stop peeking and PMO to porn, especially at night since it raises your dopamine levels and makes you hyper alert.

I find it easier to do nofap when I am off all artificial stimulants such as caffeine, alcohol, smoking and sugary foods. Desserts are harder to quit than any of the others for me. Everyone is different so give it a try and modify as needed.

    Hope that helps you, brother.

    Day 28/90...

I have to admit that the last week I was having a lot of URGES, and started searching for something to help my go or without any help I started touching myself... But in less than 30 seconds I was stopping, with a single thought: I do not want this any more.

Thanks, I think you convinced me to try no cafeine at some point in the near future, when I feel more confident at no PMO.

I did no sugar for a good while, a half year or so. The best thing was that other foods started tasting better. And now I take permanently have less sugar by default. Not zero, but less than I used to.

    Day 5.
I joined this forum 176 days ago. Of those 176 days, I was 157 days without P.

Really taking my Urges Diary very seriously now, writing it down every time I so much as think of P or M somewhere deep in the back of my head. Which helps a lot. As soon as I write down a thought like that, I lose the desire to act on it.
