    Hi guys,

    I never thought I will be posting this but the sad day has finally arrived. After 67 days of NoFap, the best time of time has finally come to a halt. I relapsed yesterday and so I'm back to square one. I feel miserable. I had to reset my counter from 67 days to 0 and this felt like a dagger going through my heart. I feel broken from inside. I feel like all my good work has been reduced to waste. I always used to think it will be success stories , completing challenges and transforming myself. I used to fear this day and now I'm clueless as to how to recover. I feel disappointed that I have not only let myself down but so many other members who were rooting for my success. I'm sorry.

    What should I do now? I feel lost and broken from inside. I don't want to go back to the old world of misery, depression and darkness. Please help me.

    That's so true!! Many times I've stumbled due to alcohol... either too many drinks or really bad hangover next day where my mind was looking for some extra dopamine to cope with hangover. Now I do my best to stay away from alco and if it comes to drinking I have max 3 beers so I can control meself and next day free of hangover. All the best chaps!!

    Hey man! sorry to hear that! I felt exactly same once I made a mistake after 30 days of no PMO. Don't you worry mate! Just give yourself couple of days to re-think, put your thought straght.. get to understand what led you to stamble. Make a new plan and again get up and try your best. You've done 67 days.. that's impressive number trust me. You've already made a progress and don't you forget about it. Don't cheat on your future with your past.. with what you did yesterday.

    Don't worry man. Streak is just for motivation. Write down information about your relapse such as the time, what made you relapse, the place, the mood you were in, etc and write down what you will do to avoid relapsing under such circumstances next time. Do this everytime you relapse and eventually there won't be such "relapse" because you've preplanned what you'll do during those times.

    Thank you so much for your encouraging words. I fully agree with you when you say we shouldn't cheat on our future with our past. I guess that should be the way forward for me. Although right now it looks like a long road to recovery, I have to take it step by step.

    Yes, I will do that. As I contemplate , I will write down why it happened and what I can possibly do in the future to prevent it?

    Day 36/90. I think I might be starting to feel what is a new "normal." I expected urges to be back, but at least if I'm not thinking about them all the time, it doesn't feel like they're always around. Although they are just one thought or one picture or one video away. That I need to be careful with. Aside from the urges, I'm starting to get used to my new life and new routines right now.

    I have the same problem. It is normally hard for me to cope without porn since I have always escaped it for years. However, I appreciate the challenge this brings since we are addressing the root cause and that way overcoming will be easier. We have to aim for emotional stability.
    On ED, don't worry so much about it. If you successfully avoid pmo you will naturally have it easy since your brain and sensitivity are wired right.

    I feel for you man! I have a few thoughts that will hopefully help you;

    - How you are feeling right now is temporary, these negative emotions will pass!

    - 67 days is really impressive! Myself and many others on this forum have not yet achieved that feat. Those 67 days are NOT WASTED! They are not "undone" now you've relapsed. If you did 67 day streaks for one year there would be only 5 days with PMO. Imagine how much better that would be compared with where you were at before.

    - I do not feel that you have let me down by relapsing. The only way someone could let me down would be if they stop posting, about their successes AND their failures. So no reason to be sorry as far as I'm concerned.

    - You are clueless how to recover: there is a lot of good information out there on dealing with this. Just one example

    - What to do now? Start again right now and try to learn from this experience!
