You probably don't belive this, but your mindset is the biggest factor when it comes to what results you get in life.

Getting the knowledge about how it affects my body is really the reason I decided to quit permanently, all the negative effects of it that I wasn't totally aware of before I came to this website makes porn very unattractive.

I simply decided I am finished because I now know how tremendously it has ruined parts of my life and taken away so much time I'm never going to get back.

Basicly same answer as to the first question, the knowledge about how to deal with this addiction. how it affects my body in a negative way. I'm done wasting away my life for feeling good for a few seconds out of several hours online. sometimes it doesn't even feel good.

I've been trying to quit for 11 years, but without the knowledge I found through this website I never really saw how bad it is.

Just quit, you are in control of your own body. feeling the urge? just go away from your computer and leave your mobile.

Integrate new habits in your life so you don't have time for PMO, something that has always helped me is being around girls, getting that femenine energy and connection removed my need for PMO.

I belive in all of you, I know it's not my thread, but I answer anyway ^_^

    Congratulations on quitting PM :)

I did not understand if with this girl you met in the office you managed to "do something about it" or not, you managed to talk to him or did you combine something more? I ask because I read "new girlfriend" but you have not been very clear, or it's just my poor english! Second thing congratulations, your testimony pushes me to act! Third thing and this thing is very important so do not throw it in the trash as if nothing had happened (and this also applies to other people reading this comment), Do not use the word "become a man" because if you use these words to your brain imply what time you are not! it's like saying "I want to be skinny", if I want to be skinny, it's because now I'm not, do not you think, the brain believes everything you say to it! so instead of saying "I want to become a man" you use words like "I want to become even more man!" or "I want to become a man even better than I am now!"

If you read it again you can see that it's directed to people that have succeeded, plural, at least two of them.

and we are in this community to help each other aren't we? I know I am. so why wouldn't I answer those questions?

For me it's the fact that a) using images of women to get off on because you don't know how to cope encourages you to look at women in a very needy creepy unattractive way the rest of the time too b) I know that, when I have PMO to 'rely on' in difficult situations, I have a constant way out, making it less likely that I will bother to learn how to overcome the difficulty myself, so the difficulty remains in my life & c) most importantly, I want a better life for myself than that, I am a good person deep down, I need to remind myself of that until I feel it more in my heart. When I look at women, I want to know it's because I have something good in me to offer them, rather than because I am desperately trying to take something from them, hoping that I will feel good, if only for a few moments. PMO addiction is a big problem, so you have to think big and dig deep if you seriously want to stand a chance at real growth and self respect in your life. Good luck ;)

    Good Job....... Inspirational........ :)

    Great point !!!!!!!

That's such a great and concise [short] message I wrote it on a piece of paper and put it on my bathroom mirror.

I could see how he could get a new Audi........ either savings account........ or cash......... or lease (then write off as a business expense) -- many roads to Rome.

Hey....... how about "The Cars of NoFap" (NoFappers Goals)?

Great quote! I think this also applies to a lot of things in life. Recently, I have been trying to become more comfortable with myself. For a very long time I have gotten very upset about myself when I see attractive girls. But, why should I put so much importance into being sad about myself for a person I see for a short period of time, whereas for the majority of the day I am by myself?

Cheers bro. The psychology of it has been huge for me, I find myself coming back to this question of, but what's the point of overcoming difficulties if I can just do what feels natural/easy? Well, it's not always possible to think this way but the thing I keep refocusing on is the point that the choice NOT to fap matters because I matter, my life matters.. and if how I behave affects the quality of my life then that matters too. This may sound obvious but it's funny how what we think and how we feel is often different. For instance, I may think I am a good person, but I don't often feel like one. I may say my life matters but do I really feel that? Same goes for NoFap, if you do not feel that the quality of your life matters deep down, where is your inspiration to change when those urges arise going to come from?

Hmm I wouldn't say I couldn't, but the difference the 90 days made was truly remarkable. In that period, my game has never been so strong, and still is to this day. If you have good game whilst watching porn, no porn will make your game excellent... if your game is weak when you watch porn, nofap will get you to good game level.

Fundamentally, NOfap is to be pursued in addition with various types of personal development - working out, eating healthy, reading, getting to bed on time, meeting new people, becoming more ambitious. All of these factors will skyrocket your attraction to Women, I can assure you this truly. Someone I worked with said I became a man over the last several months (they didn't know I made a commitment to noFap).

Please, please, just try it, get to 90 days and come back and tell me how you get on - your life will truly change.

Your WHY, needs to be bigger than the temptation. Winning at life > 5 second orgasm.

    Stay strong!

My opinion on Pornography is that it is truly disgusting, infectious material that inhibits a man becoming a man. It is the killer of hopes and dreams, killer of social game, killer of motivation and above all, a killer of reality.

Your WHY, needs to be the main thing that supersedes the temptation and urge to relapse. We are talking about a better life for you! Thats the most important thing that helps you to succeed. Owing it to yourself to succeed, to your family, your partner - nofap is a great way to kickstart it all off.

    Keep pushing brother.

Nofap is about a TOTAL CHANGE. Get to the gym, eat right. Get your Ass in gear. Go find a better job, start that business, ask that girl out.

NOfap was significant for me as it marked a complete change in my thinking, and enabled me to elevate to higher levels of thinking, thoughts and motivation I have never experienced as I was stuck in the pit of porn, stuck in the pit of instant gratification.

TRUST ME - you are doing well, and if you carry over this commitment in other areas of your life, you will see truly life changing results.

Stay strong! Your mind will rationalise a relapse.

  19. Yeah, may aim is always to that 90 and beyond. I’ll let you know, thanks!

So just to reinforce what is already being said, as I approach the 90 day mark, NoFap is small but significant part of a HOLISTIC SET OF LIFE CIRCUMSTANCES that TOGETHER facilitate change - e.g. career path / physical & mental health / success with women. My interactions with the opposite sex, approaching day 90 of my reboot, are pretty much non existent. Is this because NoFap 'doesn't work'? no, not at all. It's because I am still overwhelmed by difficulty in most other significant areas of my life for now. NoFap is important to me NOT because I expect it to be the magic bullet in my life now, but because the commitment and habits it encourage remind me of what I am aiming for moving forward. To anyone just hoping for this one piece of dark wizardry to hack life with I do not recommend NoFap at all. To anyone open to the idea of long term life quality with a willingness to look deeply at all areas of their life, go for it! I have only seen positive results from my NoFap experience. It seems relevant to bring up the quote that 'people tend to overestimate what they can achieve in a year, and underestimate what they could achieve in 10'...
