    Hi,
I'd like to know if abstaing from porn for such a period of time will result in sudden abomination towards P? I don't use it very often (2-4 times a month lately), but due to pandemic and recent stress my usage has unfortunately increased. Last day I PMO two times (after five days of abstaining from it) and it forced me to make some changes. I tried to approach this 90 days challenge some time ago, but relapsed after 2 or 3 weeks. I relapsed, because I wanted to know if P still arouses me - or maybe I overcame it. Well, I didn't back then. What do You think of this kind of behaviour - to check for P after some time just for your own response? I know it could be highly triggering (or simply cheating yourself when you want to PMO but find a "better" excuse), but if this "rewire" process is finished, shouldn't one feel natural disgust for porn as it potrays fake and harmful activities? I want to recondition myself in such a way that even by stepping on P I will feel it's not OK and will avoid masturbate to it and won't wish to come back to it later. Last time I even tried to remain more conscious during watching P - and I managed to see how sad, mechanical and "manufactured" it was. But before I was just aroused. So maybe one can switch between these states. But is complete abomination possible? So even if one look at porn, one will feel no arousal? Or maybe that's impossible for someone with long past of porn usage? What do You think?

There are a lot of factors that go into something like this but the largest would have to be the individual’s perspective and just how clean their rebooting process went/ is going. The longer without that intense type of stimuli even soft core, the greater the pay off in terms of healing dopamine receptors and mental clarity. The more adamant one is about not living with the burden of PMO, the greater the chance that their logical mind is able to override the pleasure seeking pathways created via years of indulgence. Again everyone is different on the matter. Some can edge early on and be able to say no to a physical release. Some steer clear for extended periods and break down at one peek. Whatever path is chosen none are an impossibility, but some require greater wills and longer times to cultivate what you may seek than others. Given time you may not grow disgusted with porn but the general need or desire to view it becomes null if you aren’t keeping it as part of your life under normal circumstances.
Concerning about whether you still feel arousal or not shouldn’t be so much a concern. Most of those feelings are natural and embedded deep in us. Don’t be concerned about killing them off , just realize how they’re being manipulated and what you can do to hold control over them.

I think You're probably right. It's just completely physiological reaction to feel arousal while watching different P - regardless of its inner emptiness. Especially when it is so well made up lie that one can't see through its fakeness at once. I also think that after rewiring process one won't seek P in the first place, because even thought about it won't seem appealing. So maybe my whole question was sort of invalid - why would You look for P, if You are (supposedly) free from it? It's just bringing yourself to that dark place again - and even when You're capable of staying not aroused, why would You like to test yourself in such a way? It's just risky behaviour stemming from self-doubting maybe?
