Man, have you ever felt that kind of urge when you think "oh, a little bit of porn won't do any bad" or " fuck this reboot, i like porn, it won't hurt me". Is this the normal kind of urge? I really don't know :D How do you deal with that feeling? How do you tell your brain "no", even if he keeps saying "yes" and you believe in him? Thanks, fapstronauts!

well, that sort of thought - or rather perception - is the whole problem, isn't it? we're all struggling with exactly this thing, bro. this thought is what we have in common as a challenge. every method here is about that, even being on this site.
you're catching and reflecting it is the first big step to fading it out. on the basis of that, distraction & self-persuasion can then slowly do their job.
however you deal with it specifically, if you are addicted expect that it will work sometimes and not at others, so you need a whole battery of approaches and be somewhat hard to predict by the urges.

Thanks for the help! It's a difficult trouble, indeed... But that's why we are here, right:? :) I will try distraction and self-persuasion. i think it will work. And I will not expect winning all the battles, I just need to do my best. Thanks, bro!

It's like a truck of porn hitting you with full speed. It shuts off your rational part of brain and you won't stop fantasizing about porn. You have to extra cautious with these feelings. You now have the energy; use it for positive things. Good luck!

I believe that we have this addict brain telling us those things. It doesn't want us to quit. It can rationalize almost anything and even talk you into looking at "just a little bit of porn or a p-sub or two, r three or four, or . . . I go to SA meetings and learn as much as I can from other men who have some sobriety. I also read SA literature and meet with my sponsor once a week. Have learned a lot about my addict brain and how it convinces me to feed the addiction. Ugh. I know that in time I can still his voice so that he is not as strong. Keep at it, you can do this too. Check out SA - there are meetings all over the world and you can even do phone meetings if there aren't any in your area.
