Not sure how to start this, all I know is it's going to be very long. This isn't just to get advice and the help I really do need, this is a warning to any younger people out there on the damage porn can do.

I lost my virginity at age 13, ever since then I was a sex addict. Of course like most, when I couldn't get sex I turned to porn. It started off just pictures and the short videos you get on them spam tube pages to finding full videos. It escalated from there and perversion took over my life. As the years went on the videos got more hard-core and brutal and my dependancy got worse. I jumped two feet into the porn community.

I ended up going through a period of bi-curiousity where I was meeting men for mutual wanking and i sucked a guy. It was a "sissy" sort of fantasy, minus the clothes. Acting out the pornos almost. I realised then that the fantasy was caused by porn and that fantasy is always better than the real thing and that really isn't my thing. I'm straight but very much damaged by porn.

I came out of my last relationship about 6 months ago, it ended because I was/am so dependant on porn i would send her away so I could sit and watch porn all night, she was a knockout aswell 9/10. I'd spend anywhere from 1-6 hours browsing. She ended it through being sent away all the time and total lack of interest from my part. I was actually happy as i would have more time to view porn. The relationship ending sent me further into the porn world ( self inflicted I know ) but I had no motivation to get out of it. I would view it at work when possible aswell. This consumed my whole life.

During all this i realised I can't get hard properly, other than morning erections I haven't been able to get fully hard in years, enough to have sex yeah but not rock solid like the morning ones I continue to get. I'm 5'9 160 pounds and excerisise 4 times a week so I know it's not a physical thing. My ecig with high nicotine may not be helping but i feel it is mostly porn related.

So my worry about ED today lead me to this site which I'm so thankful exists and is an active community of support. I'm ready to give this ago, despite our friend corona locking us in. I'm terrified my penis won't go back to normal, I'm terrified the next girl I get with I'm gonna either go soft or cum to early If I've not masturbate in x amount of time.

So any advice from people with similar experiences would be great and i hope my story will put any younger people reading it off porn!

I’m grateful for you sharing your story and trying to warn people about the effects of porn. Unfortunately I can’t speak from experience, but from what I have read and understand, quitting is your best hope. I think that getting help from people in real life can be very beneficial. Record your days pmo free and remember that you can do this. Believing in yourself is extremely important. Good luck! You got this!

    Hi, welcome to the community

I would recommend you to stay in touch with members and read their success stories. You may also learn tricks to avoid the short-term pleasure and to face the temptations.

Be AWARE of your habits and control what you see and what/who you spend your time with.

It's also important to limit the usage of social media. In addition, never be free! Use your free time as much as possible and do sports, exercise, attend classes, etc.

This video contains everything that you need to know about porn addiction. Lastly, here is a collection of ways to deal with the urges which worked great for me.

֍ You got this my friend ֍

2 days in. Surprisingly not struggling, I'm aware of the temptation in the back of my mind though. I didn't think that staying off social media would be necessary but am noticing why it may be important in the future. Thank You for the welcome and support.

  6. Hey welcome to the NoFap forum : )

It's nice to see you here fighting the good fight alongside us!

First let me go ahead and drop some helpful links for you:

Getting Started Guide / Forum Rules / How to Use the NoFap forums/ Glossary/ NoFap Panic button / Set up your day counter / Rebooting Resources/ About NoFap/ Support NoFap

    Here is just some advice:

First and foremost please take a look at each section in the forum, there might be something(s) you may find of big help to you. Feel free to post there :+)

Then secondly I just advise you to be active on your profile(as there a few active people in the profile section). Please start by choosing an avatar and then make daily status posts to show you're active and needing support/encouragement. They've also got a neat little feature that shows freshly posted statuses for all users to see. People will find your profile and give you encouragement/support.

Theres a portion of people who love communicating in the profile section..(it should be and is )mostly spportive talk but it doesn't hurt to deviate from supportive talk. It would be great to have you join in and support others in the threads, profiles, and journal. Make sure and be grateful for the help you received and give some help after receiving some. Invest in some people's journeys. We could always use your help and in return you shall receive some as well!

Thirdly, You should also highly consider creating a public journal/log (in the appropriate section for you) and write about your days in more depth for us members to follow along your journey and offer support to you by way of posting in your journal.

Last but not least: Good luck on your journey here, make sure to really give it a try with all your heart!

Getting rid of your ED and gaining clarity about your sexuality is all very possible through a reboot and rewiring. I was in a very similar situation to you. I had extreme PIED, as well as much confusion and distress about my sexuality. After rebooting and rewiring though, I can have frequent, pleasurable sex, and I fully understand what are my desires and what has been instilled by porn.

Check out the site Your Brain on Porn for the best research curated by porn addiction professionals. I'll link you to the overview, the FAQ page, and some articles I believe are relevant to you. I suggest reading the overview, and then articles you feel apply to you. If you have other questions lmk.
