    Day 3/7
I had a dream about a girl I know who had sex with another guy (it was more than that but that's the only thing I can remember),
I also woke up with this urge to masturbate... hopefully it won't cause me to relapse

    Good luck :)
My new goal is 8, so today 4/8..
Advantage of binary is at 6 day i know i am half way there of my last goal 4+2. For example at goal of 256 is far from 128 but can divide into 8 or 16 equal periods. I think, i am thinking too much :)

The negative feelings you're having are entirely recognizable. They are also entirely normal, as they are caused by very negative thoughts, which you experienced right after your relapse and maybe now still. Thoughts (in your control) trigger feelings (controlled by your brain through neurotransmitters).
When we fail at something, we're quick to think bad thoughts about ourselves or about everything around us. Whatever the case, that's going to trigger your brain to produce... negative feelings. When we keep failing at something, we tend to think many more and worse thoughts ("I suck", "I'm not worth it", "I'll never be able to do it with my pathetic low level of endurance" etc.). Consequently... your brain is directed to soak you into a pool of negative emotions.
This can make you feel depressed/indifferent. This can make it hard to start think some positive things. You know what they say, "Hey, look at the brightside", "Go out with friends and get some joyful/silly distraction" or "Talk with someone who supports you". That actually works. Why? These activities bring up some positive thoughts and thus your brain finally makes some positive emotions. The mentally strongest amongst us are able to discipline themselves to think something positive too, despite the mess they're in.
In practice, what really works is actually reminding yourself of positive thoughts. Things you otherwise know, but you are not currently thinking about. Put on some positive music and listen intensively.

This is exactly what you must remind yourself of daily. Don't wait until right before an urge, or worse, after. :)

I like the binary way of doing it because it means you know that you only have to do the same again. you hit your goal of 4 days and double it to 8, which is 4 days away, you know you can do 4 days because you've just done it. I also think super short goals help at the beginning. If you've just relapsed just focus on getting one day behind you again, just one small step away, don't think about what happens after that but then get 2 days away etc...

I recongize that. The first thing to remember is you are doing well, I know it might not feel like it but here you are, still in game, still on the journey, still in the fight. Sure your counter might currently read zero but that does not tell the whole story. It doesn't tell the way that you have been determinedly walking away from PMO, sure you've stumbled a few times, we all have, but you are changing. Of course you are tired, you are going up a path that winds round a MOUNTAIN. Each streak you do is like coming back round to the path on the same side, it looks the same but actually you are a little higher up. If you need to masturbate there is no shame in that, nobody can judge you or know your life situation but for me nofap is about combating my compulsive behaviour that I used to avoid my negative emotions. For me masturbation was a compulsive habit just like porn and I used both in the same way (ditto for p-subs).

Oh and everything @Gripseeker says is true. Check in often, talk to people here or irl. Be kind to yourself, take a deep breath and get your counter back to one day and go from there.

27/32, 5 days away from my next goal but home alone this evening, bored and tired. Should I go out? I should go out right? Right I'm going out. Bye.

  11. A good decision. I think that NoFap have helped me to be more active and go out more to see some people.
What are you planning to do? :)

1/1 and felt low so watched some comedy which perked me up. Done a lot of walking today. These first few weeks are the most dangerous for me. Need to keep active and focused.

1/2 and loving this way of doing it by doubling each new challenge

    1/5.

Gonna double it too, like many of you. I think I'm back on track, after a few bad days. Thanks for all your messages guys.
True. I'm gonna do no PMO, but yesterday I just felt a bit desperate. Besides all, this process just needs time I guess...
Get up. Take a breath. You're back at day 0, but you're not back where you begun. Focus on the coming days.
Same happened to me. Sometimes you get stuck in that cycle. We're at the same point right now I guess...
    Really nice. Take care man!
Keep calm, and focus on at least the first PMO free day. You got this.
Thank you. Just what I needed. It just needs time. But I will get there.

BTW your 27 days is really impressive. Can't wait to be there man.

Yeah the first weeks are hard. Staying social and active is really helpful for me. All the best the coming days!

    Sounds good.

Busy=good, I'd say. It leaves less time for PMO.

I spend a lot of time at home alone (i work for myself), sometimes up to 4 days a week i can be home alone with not much to do. This has meant over the last year i have had to figure out how to be by myself and not give in to urges. I feel as if i were busy monday-friday i probably would have kicked the addiction earlier, but at the same time i have learned to be at home, by myself and not have to relapse. In fact not think to relapse, i just get on with things that are productive.
