Reading around, I see that a lot of you have the same problem I occasionally do. Too much time and energy, and no where to spend it. PMO often steps in to fill that void.

Well, I do have a solution, highly beneficial, but admittedly imperfect.

    Powerlifting.

In powerlifting, you are trying to train your central nervous system (CNS) to get as efficient control over your existing muscle as possible. You currently can only contract your muscles a tiny fraction of the power of which they are capable, because let's face it, we're sedentary creatures. Wild animals use all their muscles, all the time, and are WAAAAAY more efficient because of it. That's how a small, wild chimp can rip a grown man twice his size limb from limb.

There is a difference between that and bodybuilding. In powerlifting, you are trying to lift the biggest weight possible with their whole body (lots of CNS use), where bodybuilders are trying to get the biggest bloodflow to an individual muscle, one at a time. (little CNS use)

Why is this good for someone practicing PMO abstinence?

Because just like any other muscle, your CNS needs time to recover after being under heavy stresses. Simply put, you are so fried after a heavy training session jerking off is the furthest thing from your mind. Not to mention you will grow bigger muscles (not as fast or big as bodybuilders, but that's ok), produce more testosterone, be more confident, attractive to girls, etc. etc.

But wait... if I'm such an authority, what the hell am I doing on an addiction board in the first place with an only double digit counter?
Blew my neck out trying too much weight on a new exercise I've never done before. Which temporarily puts me right back where I started. Too much time and energy, and nothing to do with it.

Told you it wasn't perfect. :D
