Hey, i just need the motivation. Im 3 days in to NoFap, but i just have no confidence that im going to succeed for my aim of a month. Do you have any tips to keep going and not give in so early on, as i must have given in at least 30 times

I am on day 5 too. It is so hard because I have to be on my laptop all the time for my work; it is hard not to open a porn website. I need help.

    (1) Take smaller steps and work your way up. If you don't have confidence you can do a month, how about a week? If you don't have confidence you can do a week, that's OK, how about a day? Establish a track record of success.

    (2) Are you going straight to hard-mode no PMO? Try just swearing off porn only. Porn is the fuel that driving a lot of the MO. To start with, give yourself MO as a safety valve. Once you're reasonably comfortable with no porn, then try no M.

    (3) Post at least once a day on NoFap. Here on this thread, or create a reboot journal for yourself. Or both. If I don't do this, I lose my way quickly.

    Hope this helps.

Working at home, I spent years starting off the work day with a nice porn session. Big mistake. When I wanted to stop, as soon as I opened my laptop the urges were crazy. Not gonna lie: the first two weeks were really hard. I had to keep leaving my desk to do something else: brush my teeth, make coffee, play a video game. Are there other people around? Leave the door open. Or go to a public place like a library or coffee shop. I gave myself MO as a safety value. That's what got me through (I hope I don't get in trouble for this... just sayin' what I did). After a few weeks I felt ready to take out the 'M' too.

  7. Day 2 after relapse. I still have bad leakage, and it does happen during activities such as when I work out for example. However, I've foughten off my urges pretty well and they were fairly powerful yesterday. Speaking of workouts, I changed it up a bit and it's way harder now. I actually feel it now. Even still the leakage really sucks ass and I don't know what caused it. Maybe prostate problems????

Day 2 finished, really stressed out from university and work, but it feels nice because it was productive and I didn't pmo.
Maybe you could see a doctor? I hope it gets better soon, mate!
Maybe you can install a porn blocker. Also, do push-ups as soon as you feel urges. If you have someone at home (I guess you work at home?), open your door or sit in a shared room. If there is nobody living with you, try to sit at a spot where people can/could see you from outside through the window, maybe with the screen towards the window. If all that isn't possible and you can't resist it at home at all, go to a public place for work and don't open the laptop at home again.
    Great, welcome and good luck!

Day 6. going strong. I have a more productive and energetic flow that I can definetely feel compared to my first and second day. This is what happens when you keep your masculine energy stored within.

I too had a pretty hard setback. I binge relapsed at least 10-20 times in the past 48 hours (mostly because of ocd). I’m getting myself back on track and my first day starts tomorrow.

It was torturous ocd. I didn’t even want to fap anymore. I could barely anymore, But every time I felt my thing slide or scuff inside my pants my ocd made me think “this streak isn’t clean anymore” it was f*cked.

I put a stop to it and I am now on my way. Tomorrow I start again. This last 48 hour period taught me something, ITS NOT WORTH IT TO FAP.

Even if I can’t position it right and it keeps hitting my pants it can’t be a relapse, I never worried about it before, I think I’m just super aware of it now because I’m afraid of ruining a streak.

I agree it’s good to be afraid to lose a streak, but i can’t be to the point I’m being paranoid things that don’t count.

Well, here we go. Let’s do this now.

you relapsed 10-20 times in 48 hours? Good god. That is probably not good for you at all. At that point you probably feel dead inside. I hope you maintain better in the future

  16. Don't use ocd as an excuse. You chose to masturbate right now I can make atleast 20 excuses why I should masturbate but I don't.Reevaluate your decision about quitting porn If you really wanted to quit you will but You decide to get stuck in a loop of relapses.I know its not easy but its not hard either at the end of the day it is only a choice you have to take to watch or not to watch.

yep, it’s insane. I feel really bad right now. I’m eating foods like vegetables and protein to speed up recovery and restore what I lost.

Your not wrong. It’s not an excuse. Each time I was caught in that ocd loop and I know the mentality had something to do with it (really bad ocd).

Right now I’m just moving on and not worrying about the little stuff like rubbing it in my pants on accident too many times or looking at something on accident. Because that’s exactly what it’s caused by with my ocd I’m afraid of relapsing but my ocd keeps telling me I have to do it to perfect my streak because I already “ruined” it. (Which I did not ruin anything and is stupidity.)

Im taking control now and today is my first day. I’m not going to relapse in the first place this time and cause another mess like this. I’m done. It’s only porn and masturbation free from here on out.
