    I'm seriously considering running a marathon this year. I ran 10km today and it felt great. Something to work towards.

    If you are thinking about running a marathon...or if you ran 10km then you should think about joining Genopets. If you have not heard about it yet it is a move to earn game where you will actually earn money for steps that you take..and then later for other activities...Message me if you or anyone else wants more information..or just google search Genopets medium

    Nice to see you have a system, but what is wrong with the video games? Diablo was a trigger?

    Not great unfortunately. Still been really struggling, but made some progress. I am pretty sure I can pin my current problems on caffeine and/or alcohol. Have gradually worked my way back to two lots of coffee a day, which I realise messes with me more than I thought. Equally, although I don't drink huge amounts of alcohol, it really doesn't help me to drink alone. Particularly after a day of caffeine. The stimulant then a depressant pattern over time just exacerbates any mood swings. Going to gradually reduce caffeine again and try to only drink socially.

    I was diagnosed bipolar, and they told me to cut caffeine...it has helped me..they also told me to cut alcohol..I haven't been able to do that yet but I am working on cutting back again...it's been tough so much going on with my family right now and it triggers me to drink..but I am consistently holding myself to 3-4..trying to get to 2-3..then 1-2...then 0-1, unless I actually have a reason to drink other than just being stressed or depressed...

    Good to see activity again on this forum. I was surprised to see that I haven't posted since December. Doing good on the No PMO bingeing. Still FMO once every week or two. Monitoring this closely not to let it build back to daily like the previous 50 years. I'm sure age is helping but just looking at things from a new perspective where sex isn't everything.
    Looking back it's almost embarassing to think about how sex drove so much of what I did. Just living for the orgasm/dopimine rush. I'm lucky that I found someone over 30 years ago that put up with me and helped me to see whats important in a real relationship while being open minded enough to know we both needed to make some tweaks.
    I can't change the past but I can work on the future.

    I looked it up, but no, that sounds horrible. I just want to do it with intrinsic motivation.

    Any game is a trigger. Since my teens everything was video games or porn. They are very much linked together in my brain. I remember when I was 17 and I had a day free from school I would play games all day and PMO once the urge came.

    But other than that, I just don't enjoy games like I used to. And I have just so much other things to do. Especially now, we just got the keys of our new home, which is new construction so have a lot of work to do. Actually, 11 years ago, when I bought my first house, I was in the middle of a 180-day streak. It was going so well because I had so many things on my hands.

    I quit drinking because it was a problem for me; in fact, I quit for 7 years, started again, and then quit again after a few years of drinking.

    As for caffeine, it's a great idea to quit. I was diagnosed with a bipolar-type (though not bipolar) disorder. Caffeine makes my manic highs higher. I don't enjoy this, and obviously it's not good. Some seem to enjoy being manic, but I just think it sucks. I turn into a prick.

    Not PMing helps with everything. I am glad I have gone P-free for some time now. I hope I can stay away from M too. It's been a couple days, so at least there's that.

    Good to see we've got a few streaks still going and some new streaks starting out. Urges very minor at the moment, having a good amount of sex, which helps.

    I find the same thing with video games. They're not necessarily linked with jacking it in my mind but as I age they just give me less of a buzz than they used to. I think it's because you've got real stuff to build towards, real tasks and accomplishments that need to be completed. So there's less requirement for virtual fulfilment.

    good luck with that. Earning money seems to be a pretty good motivator for me because I need money to eat food and take care of my mom.

    I hear that. I am concentrating on earning money lately, I need to supplement our income to support the household.

    good for you I guess. I personally don't see anything wrong with herb..especially if one is using it as a substitute for other more harmful substances...I try to not take any pills at all, for me they are much more detrimental than smoking herb or using cannabis products.

    Going after another hard mode streak...got 3 weeks of no PM!

    Avoiding urges..using motivation to end the hard mode streak with a women..hopefully my partner and I will have a chance tonight. How many of you are on hard mode streaks?

    Hi Everyone, my goal, at the moment, is to reach 90 days no PMO. The best i did, years ago, was something like 45 days, but I think it coulb be nice not to do it alone.

    Lately, i had some changes in my life. This COVID situation, and coming back to my home town, actually killed me. I'm not a person i would like to be with anymore, so i decided to have some changes in my life, starting with both this noFap journey, and some improvemnt pills tips such as having cold showers and morning trainng routins. Moreover i would like to start reading agin, trainning again, and concentrait seriously on an eventual carreer. I think the energy from noFap could be very useful in this.

    Sorry for the bad english.

    Hey, welcome to the group! Keep sharing and you will make progress here. Most of us that have stuck around have gone on multiple 90 day streaks.

    I am reading more now..some of us are using the habitica app, it is kind of cool. Let us know if you want an invite to the group.
