Addicted to sunglasses

I have very pale eyes. To the point where they sometimes make people uncomfortable. I've been always called a ghost, vampire, etc etc my entire life. Many people have also told me I have beautiful eyes. Personally I feel they're a distraction. My eyes are also small and very tired looking. They lack vibrance.
I'm very uncomfortable talking to people without sunglasses on. I really hate the way my face sits and I find I look 10x better with them on. Otherwise I think I look like a dog at the shelter sitting there waiting to be adopted.
Does anyone else have this problem? If so did you find a way to be comfortable without them
