There's still a lot of skeptics out there claiming that nofap is somewhat a fad, saying that the evidence of abstaining from PMO will increase your Dopamine receptor sensitivity is not proven science. They also claim the benefit that people report having ie more energy, motivation, no more ED is just anecdotal evidence and could be potentially an indirect result of something else rather than a direct result of nofap.

Personally I think the science proves them otherwise; there's enough evidence that suggests porn has a direct effect on the brain neurochemicals, and having reports of people experiencing a desensitization from the watching the same stimulus over time is proof of the pudding.

This is at least for me strong evidence that porn addiction definitely affects your brain one way or another, but what do you guys think, do they have a point claiming that these benefits you get from nofap could be the result of something else or do they simply just don't know what they're talking about?
