Advice needed !!

I started NoFap in the month of may and was successfully able to complete 70 days of Hard mode in my first attempt. I relapsed while doing an exercise mentioned in the book "Tao's secrets of love" and this was almost a month ago. My problem is that I am not able to get into that groove of starting and maintaining my streak for more than a week nowadays.
I have failed thrice since i first relapsed and somehow it seems difficult than the first attempt. Need some help with this. Last time's tricks and methods are somehow not working or maybe my dedication towards this it not strong.
Anyway, please if anyone is or had gone through this similar thing, your help would be really appreciated.
Also whenever I go above 10 days, I feel the urge to want to have sex with someone(I don't know whether its good or not). And the last three times I relapsed was to release this urge because I was not able to direct that energy in some other area, so need some guidance in that as well.
However I have completely abstained from porn since May and will continue to do so.
Thank you.

It's my guess, but probably your problem has something to do with experimenting Tao techniques too soon. I also failed for the exact same reason.

So, after doing nofap for around 50 days, I thought that now it's okay if I try having an orgasm without ejaculation which was portrayed as even better than nofap. But, since it's tough to get the technique right, I ejaculated multiple times with no success towards orgasm without ejaculation. That series of failures kind of ruined the reboot process. Believe me, my motivation towards nofap was not the same after ejaculating multiple times, even though it was for a 'noble' cause.

It triggered the old pleasure wirings and failing at nofap became much harder to avoid after that. It took me around 3-4 months to realize and come to a decision that firstly I'll reboot completely for at least 100 days and then only think about trying any Taoist techniques.

I still believe that such techniques once mastered can be good for health, but nofap rebooters we are not in a good state to try it.

One thing at a time. That's my secret and I'm on my 24th day hard mode nofap.

BTW.. What was your motivation for trying those exercises and what were those exercises ?

You were a victim of chaser effect. There are no shortcuts unfortunately. The best thing to do is to start rebooting again and go as far as you can. 70 days is a great start but certainly not enough. Do not read, see or hear something that will trigger you. Goodluck!

Thank you for your insight and now even I think I started it too soon.
As for my motivation to try those exercises, I would say that I had a wet dream when i reached 60th day. So I was scouring the nofap subreddit for answers on how to stop sperm leakage coz frankly after 60 days of keeping it in and then out of nowhere it got released was kind of a bummer. So while i was going through all those posts, i came to know about this book and since it said about preserving your sperm and regulating it inside the body, I was like "this is the next step". The exercise I did was power lock, big draw(my relapse happened during this exercise) and breathing techniques shown in the book.
But my major concern with the exercises was that it was basically edging(big draw) and it's said that edging is way worse than masturbation, so I am not sure if the exercises are healthy or that I am understanding it in different way. What do you think?

Yup I also think I started way earlier. Gonna get back up on the horse again. Thanks

It's not edging. You have to focus on the energy and it's flow through the body. Edging would be looking at something erotic or imagining to feel the energy or get an erection. Try to avoid that while you do these exercises. You may have to skip a few exercises which make you feel like edging.

Can you explain this more clearly as I didn't get it. Also which exercises should i leave ? Since Big draw is an important one.

Since I read the book a long time ago, I don't exactly remember which one's are more risky. But I do remember that there were two versions of the same exercise. One in which you had to focus on cold energy, as in without being sexually excited while the other one involved handling hot energy,as in you had to first be a little sexually excited either through imagination or actually watching something erotic.

I would suggest to avoid the second one, as technically it is edging and it will be hard to avoid falling back into the P and M cycle after that. Though you can best judge which one is safe depending on your level of comfort.
