    I am most likely to be out of a regular gym attendance. All I shall maintain will be a decent series of dumbbell weights.

    I am decent enough with upper body routines with dumbbells, but I will be at a loss on legs/lower body without the gym machines. Besides running (which does not exactly gain the leg muscle I should wish), what sort of lower body routines can be done with dumbbells and/or no equipment?

    Thanks in advance for the advice.

    God bless,

    Though I know enough upper body routines, feel free to post these as well if they are part of a weekly schedule of a series of routines (and please post the whole schedule as well!). Because I work well with schedule & routines, these sorts of things would be greatly appreciated. Links/videos/&c. are warmly welcomed (I beg that one does not assume that I know what is being said/referenced).

    If you have dumbbells and room to workout at home I would encourage you to check out Sydney Cummings on YouTube. I've used her workouts in the past and they are quality workouts. She posts a new workout every day and will have a variety of workouts to follow. This way you don't have to think about anything, just follow along with her.

    I also only use dumbbells and i use two ottomans as a flat bench for bench press but thats about it. On leg days I usually do goblet squats, lunges and sometimes calf raises with a dumbbell in each hand. This video is a pretty good summary of the best leg dumbbell exercises for different purposes. He also has other videos on the best dumbbell exercises for chest, shoulders, etc.

    * Hip Thrust with Dumbbells
    * Military Press with Dumbbells
    * Biceps Curls with D.
    * Squats with D.
    * Deadlifts with D.

    You can find more stuff. But these are pretty good. I do them myself when I workout in my apartement.

    burpee and jumping rope comes to mind. Running can also gain you muscle but only if you do in high intensity otherwise it is just cardio(which is even more important imo).
