Advice or tips on getting past the urge

Hello,

I seem to have a particular 'trigger point' which is when I am in bed and trying to get to sleep. I don't have the urge to masturbate during the day, but as I am lying in bed trying to get to sleep my urges suddenly get really strong.

If I got an urge during the day I could distract myself with something else while it passed, but lying in bed in darkness isn't an environment where I can do this.

I was wondering if anyone else had this as a particular moment of weakness and any advice/tips to getting over it.

Thanks and it keep it real everyone!

I have the same problem because I made some habits that are probably bad lol. At night, if I get hard or an urge and I am awake, I get out of bed and go to the gym in my condo and work out a bit or I go out for a run. It's a horrible way to live right now but it's helping prevent pmo for me. I just started so i'm not an expert but I hope it helps!

Thanks for you replies guys. I live in a rough area so going out at night isn't such an appealing option. But I guess your wider strategy is get up and do something else, which I could do. Thanks a lot.

I wrote a letter to myself on my phone. Write to yourself telling you why you are doing this. How you're going to feel afterwards, etc. Write down your goals in life and you'll soon see that you don't actually want to do it.

And maybe push yourself ridiculously hard each day at work and in the gym so that you're so tired – you don't even think about it? Those helped me. Good luck!
