After 20+ years of PMO, I've decided to quit

Discussion in 'New to NoFap' started by Deleted Account, May 29, 2019.

  1. Hello all. I'm here to share my story. It all began in the late 90's, I think the year was 1997. Friend had some pictures that he put on a floppy disk. After that it was the slow dial-up modem and downloading pictures/low quality videos over the years, but it all changed around 2005 when the first streaming sites became available. It still took a few years before it really became a problem since our connections and content available were limited. I think on average I've been once a day guy, sometimes 2-3.

I started nofap about 18 months ago but never managed to get a full month without peeking, think my longest hard mode streak was 23 days. I have all the symptoms: extreme brainfog, anxiety, low iq syndrome, dizziness, poor memory, pied, poor skin, you name it.

I just managed a 30-day streak with one day where I watched porn, but relapsed 3 times in the span of 2 days after that. All in all I feel like I'm a walking zombie.

It has to stop now. These symptoms are getting worse all the time. More on the symptoms later, but I just wanted to make a quick introduction post. I want to quit this horrible addiction forever. I want to live my life again.

Well, you came to the right place. There's a long history of people having success after they have abstained from PMO.

I'm fairly new here and doing well so far without fap.

I once read a book called Alan Carrs easy way to stop smoking. And stopped cold Turkey and never picked up another cigarette. I'm using the same principles I learned to quit porn and fappn. Might be worth checking out.

Either way you're in the right place. Welcome to the new you :)
