You seriously don’t have to donate at all and can just ignore it, literally that simple, and in this instance this is certainly not “harassment” with what he’s doing.

Why is it legitimately so agitating and hard for you people to just scroll past?

Also, you can’t claim that he deserves the best support, and then apparently money while saying all this:

He literally needs money to operate this site alone, so I highly doubt he can afford any type of lawsuit by himself.

That banner gives me some motivation like how big this fight is. We are fighting such a big mafia porn industry and it always makes me remind it.

 

Guys... this thread is really dumb. If you have nothing more serious in your life to complain about than a little banner you have to scroll past on a website, then you've got a pretty great life.

It's not a big deal. At all. Scroll past it like everyone else, if you don't want to donate. I personally don't want to donate, for a lot of reasons, the main one being that it's very unclear what the money is actually needed for, and I'm not a big fan of lawsuits unless they are necessary. I can't really determine if I think this one I'd necessary if they don't give the details. But I understand there very well might be legal reasons why they can't divulge those details until after court.

So no, I'm not donating, but I also think it's downright ridiculous to act like Alex is going to just pocket this money for himself. If he was in this to make money... well, then he's pretty dang terrible at it. He could charge every single member of this forum a mandatory fee, if he really wanted to make tons of money of off this site. He could also run ads all over the place, but he doesn't, because he has no way of ensuring they wont be triggering ads, so he chooses NOT to make money, in order to ensure this community is safe and protected and comfortable.

So... your assertion that Alex is money-hungry is just absolutely baseless and very easily contradicted with actual facts.

Well, then we have a very different definition of what harassment is, because it’s honestly just a banner you can ignore. If it was actually intrusive like a lot of them I’ve seen, then he could have done it where no matter where you go or how far you scroll down, the ad follows you everywhere and is always visable.
