I've never read it my self but I have heard good things. I was just wondering if anyone had read it and found it to helpful.
Beautiful. I'd also like to add Psalm 23:5 ... You prepare a table for me in the presence of my enemies. We are constantly in the presence of our enemies, whether it's our computer, phone, social media, magazines, movies, etc. King David was literally in a war zone, but we are in a spiritual and mental war zone. Stay vigilant brothers.
Hey all, Wanted to share something I stumbled upon over the weekend. It is Samuel's farewell speech to Israel as he is appointing Saul as the new king. 1 Samuel 12:20-24 ...“You have done all this evil; yet do not turn away from the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart. Do not turn away after useless idols. They can do you no good, nor can they rescue you, because they are useless. For the sake of his great name the Lord will not reject his people, because the Lord was pleased to make you his own." What is our "useless idol?" Porn. Does the Lord ever reject us because we've screwed up? No. But, verse 25 reads: "Yet if you persist in doing evil, both you and your king will perish.” So, we have a clear warning that we need to shape up, but we know the Lord is patient with us, just as he was with the Israelites.
Hi everyone, I am new here. I like the Christian tone of this chat. I am in a crossroad of my life. PMO have taken over every bit of what I have as a control over myself. I need help, seriously. I have tried, prayed, wished for it to just disappear but I am far from reaching that goal. Any group created yet? Can I be accepted there? Thanks
Hi @Fotijule. Welcome. Pretty sure that the accountability partners may be communicating through direct message or IRL (in real life) via text messageor phone calls. I’m on day 24 after two relapses prior to joining NoFap boards/community. i had done 26 days and 18 days prior. These links really helped change my habits and attitude. Maybe they will help you?
