An Online Tool that has Helped me to Focus on Tasks!

I have been off PMO for a little other a month now. That means I am one third of the way through my reboot. I am so excited!

In the early days, I found it extremely hard to focus on tasks. I found myself drifting and wasting time on social media, porn, my phone, and YouTube.

After some digging, I came across an amazing website that has been a great help. It's called Focusmate. It's a website that links you up with a partner for 50 minute sessions to work on tasks alongside someone who's also working on their tasks. After a short introduction (in which you both talk about your goals for the session, etc.), you both keep your cameras on. You also have the option to keep your mics on. I love to also share my screen with my partner so that as I work, I am not distracted or tempted to change windows to something unproductive. Focusmate has worked so well for. It's boosted my productivity. I do several sessions per day, and the feeling that someone is watching me, and the fact that I have told the person my goals for the day/session helps with accountability. I recommend it to anyone who is struggling to focus while working from home, studying, etc.

And no, the awesome people at Focusmate didn't even pay me to make this post. LOL! I am just a happy, happy user. And I hope this can help someone who ends up wasting their day on the computer instead of being productive.
