Hello, i want to be an AP and I have read the rules.
Hi @Chandan019 please can you confirm that you have read the rules and set a day counter
Welcome to the group @freedomispossible, care to share a bit more about yourself?
I am trying to do nofap without any of my friends or family knowing. I would feel people would look at me differently if they knew my secret habit.
Hello, I want to be an AP and I have read the rules.
I am 30 living in US. I am new to the site as of yesterday. Looked at it many times the past couple years but just joined. I posted long short story of myself and problem with porn addiction in the introduction section if you want to read that or i can post more about myself here. Love to join this group if you have room. RTBFOP = Ready to be free of PORN I am ready as are all of you since you are here.
I have read the rules and would like to become an AP.
I am a 54 year old male living in the U.S. who has struggled on and off with PMO since I was 13. 12-step recovery groups and spiritual practice helped somewhat. The addiction abated these last couple years which lulled me into a false sense of confidence. Due to recent life changes, I recently relapsed to numb my feelings. Things got worse, of course. My physical and mental health suffered. A number of mistakes at work cost me my job.
Finding this site just yesterday gave me some hope. I am hoping to encourage, and get encouragement from, people who can relate to my story and share our fight together.
Yes i have read the rules and set the couter. Let me join.
I'm a 21 year old uni student. Started M in the middle of 2016 and I've been trying to stop since 2017. Recently, I've been into P but not that much. Thankfully I'm not addicted to it. I just want to get this M away from my life and I want to see how long I can last. My goal is to stop it completely.
Halibut, I would like to join the group. Is there still room? I've read the rules and have my counter set. Thanks!
Welcome to the group @RTBFOP! And welcome to the nofap forums, loving the account name. All the best with your journey
Thanks, your counter is not showing at the moment, will update you in the rankings when it shows - welcome to the group @Chandan019 - all the best with the journey
Its good to hear that P hasnt got that much of a hold on you - keep it that way! Yes I would like to stop P and M indefinitely. What you studying?
Yes @pourover24 there is still room, welcome to the group, I wish you all the best with your journey! Can we find out abit more about yourself?
@Pashka, welcome to the group! Hopefully we can all support you to get back on track - thanks for sharing your story
@Halibut thank you for setting up this group and letting me join. This is one of the many sources Im using to help me stay on track.
Other things Im trying :
1.Exercise starting small went for a sort walk/run a couple days ago. Went for a bike ride today. Im working into this starting slow. Plan to start going to the gym a couple times a week along with starting to either run or ride bike to work at least once a week. Yes it sucks now but along with keeping me from PMO it will get me in better shape never a bad thing.
2. Writing down my thoughts/ journal. Every morning first thing I do is take five minutes and just write whatever is on my mind. Whether its how I'm feeling then how I felt yesterday thoughts about the day. I just let it flow. I sit and type now because I can type faster than write. But if you have problems with computers then maybe just get a pen and notebook.
3. Eating better/ Cooking meals. This takes time keeps me busy and also makes me eat healthier. I enjoy to cook just for the longest time would be PMOing and eating junk food. IF you dont cook now give it a try. Start small it can easily fill an hour or better of time everyday.
4. Everyday I make a small list of things Im going to accomplish that day. Just little things.
Ex. My list today. Trim trees in yard. Go for bike ride. Post on NOFAP. I think having this list keeps me occupied and seeing the list completed by spending my time constructively instead of wasting it on PMO helps me get through the day.
I guess my biggest thing is fill my day and free time with positive activities. PMO is a bad habit/addiction one way to fight that replace it with new positive constructive habits.
How about everyone else. Whats in your toolbox keeping you on track. ???
Hey guys my tracker says the days ive gone without pm but i have done no pmo how do i get my tracker to say orgasm as well like some guys on here have there tracker saying all three and thats what i need mine to say because i havent pmoed
Bitch ass tracker needs to give me credit i deserve lol
Someone who has been here longer than me might have a better idea but if you go to the top of the page where HOME FORUMS GROUPS SUPPORT SITE tabs are there is UPDATE DAY COUNTER. IF you click on that there is a slide bar to make selection. Does your say PMO or just PM. If is just set at PM you might have to slide it over to read PMO then reupdate the day your started??? Maybe someone else will chime in to verify.
cool yea i just want to see the fact that im doing this hard mode because that was always my goall.
