    Hey folks.

    I'm a gay, transgender man, and I've been addicted to erotica since I was about 10, and to visual pornography for about 7 years.

    My addiction to watching porn/reading erotica--usually while edging--has ruined my sleep schedule, my motivation, and my energy levels. I just pulled an all-nighter jerking off and I want it to be my last one. Over the past few years I've gotten into reading more and more... depraved erotica. Every time after I jerk off to it I feel like such a sick bastard. I hate it. And lately I have to think of it to orgasm from sex with my partner, if I'm able to orgasm at all.

    I have been ashamed of this for so, so long, and I just want a life free from this, and to have healthy sleep habits, and to not use masturbation as a form of procrastination. I want to be totally present with my partner again when we're making love. Ideally, the time I currently spend masturbating would be used doing more constructive things--reading, or working out.

    I'm going to be refraining from masturbation and pornography for 7 days, starting today.

    There are some transgenders here.
    I struggled with this issues in the past as well. So maybe my story can relate to you as well.
    I wish you good luck, and leaving PMO will be a very great first step for you.

    Hi Y'all,
    I am trans (actually a part-time, partly out of the closet, recreational crossdresser, married, 3 kids).
    Used to think my trans desires were evil, wrong, etc.
    Now I realise it's just the way I am through various formative experiences (which happened pre-porn).
    Trans-ism happens in nature and has happened throughout history.
    I used to use porn to try to expunge my feelings and 'get rid' of desire - doesn't work.
    I don't believe in the term 'gender spectrum', it's BS, your gender is biologically specified (except in an absolutely miniscule proportion of cases where babies are born with mixes of genitalia).
    Some guys are more butch, some are more sissy. I hated sports, liked hanging out with girls at infant school, I cover my mouth when I laugh, I dance like a girl, but I like hiking in the mountains and am good at fixing computers and doing IT networking, conventional 'guy' skills.     OK if you get obsessed with certain genres your excitation triggers will morph and things can become unhealthy, but no worse than hetero porn.
