Have you heard about severe PIED sufferers who took a very long time to recover but got cured in the end?

Here are some testimonials and anecdotes from YBOP on longer recovery times.

“How long will my reboot take?” – Your Brain On Pornwww.yourbrainonporn.com › reboot-blueprints-blog

How long will it take to recover from Porn-Induced Sexual ...www.yourbrainonporn.com › how-long-will-it-take-to-...

simply searching "taking a long time to recover from pied your brain on porn" brings up plenty of good results too

I suggest you completely read through the first two articles, and follow any links that seem relevant or interesting to you. Also check out Porn FAQs

As a reference point, these were my porn habits and symptoms before I rebooted and rewired.
    • from age 14-18, using porn about 1-2 hours a day 5-7 days a week
    • from age 18-19, using porn about 5-6 hours a day 5-7 days a week
    • involved with very hardcore, shocking, and shameful porn from age 15-19
    • severe PIED at age 18 (only 20% erections possible)
    • very little libido or desire to have sex
This was what my reboot and rewire looked like
    • hard-mode reboot for 3 months
    • afterwards I started with 50-60% erections, little pleasure yet a lot of intensity from sex, and intense orgasms
    • after 1.5 months, I had 80% max erections, could only last 5ish minutes, but sex felt very good
    • after 1.5 months, had +100% erections, sex felt fantastic, and I could last as long as I wanted.
The YBOP articles list reasons why reboots differ among guys, so I'm not gonna write them here. If your porn usage factors differed, then you will likely take more time to recover.

HOWEVER, it is always important to keep in mind that no one ever has the same recovery as someone else, and nothing done to your brain by porn is permanent.

Started young on Internet porn and my recovery from erectile dysfunction is taking too long.

How do I know when I’m back to normal?

Does porn addiction cause irreversible damage to the brain?

Why do they mean by Not all men experience a return of spontaneous erections.? Will I never have spontaneous erections again?

When they say spontaneous erections, they mean ones that happen when you're not aroused. This includes morning wood and random boners with no stimuli. This does not include erections caused by arousal or excitement in any form.

This may be a little disheartening, but this just happens to guys as they get older. As long as you're dick is good for sex, you're still healthy.

It was really bad, I couldn't perform at all with women, I spent around 2 years trying to figure out what was going on with me and what could I do, what about you? What is your situation?

  11. I can't even get it up by myself, porn helps a little bit but results with porn are inconsistent and it's often limp more than hard. Almost 3 months passed, and my condition is still the same, no improvements. I also don't have libido.

Were you able to get it up alone or with porn?
You didn't tell how long it took you to notice improvements, and was it nofap hard or light mode?

more matinal energy (whereas before I was a zombie in the mornings), better sleep (had terrible insomnia) more stamina, got back to gym (I couldn't exercise when I hit rock bottom, and that lasted 2 years), deeper breathing (my whole body was tense and tight I think I was just breathing 10% of my capacity, crazy I know), some libido here and there, increased MW frequency, no back pain and lower back pain anymore, gastrointerstinal function is normal again, no brain fog
only issues remaining are dead libido and anhedonia, with libido come erections and penile health and sensitivity, libido is really the key

  17. Hello.

Remember that YBOP was published in 2011. Somehow, despite being a great website, it is already somewhat outdated.

When these articles were published on YBOP, incurable cases had not yet been seen. Things started to change as time went on. There is now a trend on the forum to see some cases that can be considered incurable in terms of PIED.

I think Gary needs to start updating the website.

  18. Very good. Thank you for explaining this to the kids. This is very important to clarify.

Even healthy men, as they get older, stop having spontaneous erections. In that sense, when you get PIED and then get "cured" or see improvement, you don't necessarily have to be walking around with the Eiffel Tower under your trousers to feel cured.

It's good that someone is making this clear here because a lot of guys suffer with the issue of spontaneous erections. My dad already lost them and he never did PMO in his life.

Goddammit what is it you you guys and spontaneous erections?
Yeah, when i was 15 and i thought about sex 24/7 and i had hormones raging through my system like a tsunami yeah id get random boners sitting at the bus stop. Im now 49, and it doesnt happen any more.
If you cant get it up, with a woman, repeatedly, ok fine - that is arguably something that needs addressing.
But stressing that you dont randomly get raging boners when youre doing the groceries - thats just ridiculous imho.
    Let it go guys!!
