Hey - i'm sorry to post in this thread but the blocking software i downloaded won't let me into the appropriate one. I've been at this a year and a half unsuccessfully. 2 weeks of success followed by 2-3 more of binging. my best is just 21 days. and my will is weak. Does anyone with a similar background have a success story? What shifted? I've tried everything... reading, learning the science, AP's, even two SA meetings which didn't resonate with P addiction for me. I need solid advice... (From someone who's been in my shoes) -- note, on this site, actively trying and failing for over a year and then making it 90+ days and turning things around.

    Would be much appreciated, thanks.

Wish I could help, I'm in somewhat the same situation. Next month will be a year, and the best I have done is 21-days. However, I do know that I can now go 14-21 days without a relapse and then the relapse lasts for a day or two. Not perfection, but's it's way better then PMO everyday for hours like I was before. Finally I had had enough and searched for help until I found this site.
Here's something I learned, my PMO is mostly caused by frustration and boredom. My biggest problem is that I'm not challenged with my career and the work bores me so I would rather PMO. That's the most ridiculous waste of time I can find, so I'm trying very hard to add discipline to my day to do the things I must to be successful at work and I'm adding as many positive activities to my life make up for my dull work day. If I can accomplish this everyday, I'll put together a longer streak, maybe even long enough to reboot.
The question you must ask yourself is - Why do you fail? Once you have a handle on the reason for the relapse you can take action to change it. Hope that helps.

Find a sexual outlet. Sexual energy is a powerful thing. You can't just keep it bottled up. Find something you enjoy doing and use it as a sexual outlet.

Hi @Breakoutofjailcard. That sounds as the story of @WilliamOneAndDone, one of the most succesful fapstronauts that I know and a master for many. Please read his posts http://bit.ly/1QhoUnf and http://bit.ly/1M4abIJ
The answer is simple in theory, altough very hard to implement: stop using dopamine. Just quit. Everyday you get up and make the commitment to never go back there again. When you're feeling urges, you do the same. Before going to bed, you do the same. Every single day. You move forward and face the pain of quitting. Again, William said it better, so please read his posts. :)
