This is an amazing idea - congratulations on your creativity!

I am really interested in joining - i already watched the passport video so i am hereby requesting one just for me!

Can't wait to have it so i can travel to Afghanistan - and if all goes well i will reach 20 days tomorrow and also be able to visit Albania

Cheers,
Passport Issued!!! Congratulations belio! And thank you!

Yes, congrats on your 20 days. Just watch one video for Afghanistan and one for Albania. Check back in and tell us something about your Albanian trip, and I will be honored to add you to The Travel Board. Happy trails!

I have returned from Afghanistan. I learned there are many beautiful mountains and the terrain is very dry, and it appears that some people live in dwellings dug into the sides of these mountains.
Sounds like you enjoyed your trip! Congratulations artifact, you have been added to The Travel Board!

Thank you Asgardian! That really means a lot to me, considering how many challenges are on this site. I created a couple sports related ones some time back, but they both fell flat. I was the only one really who posted on them. Traveling is something very important to me, so I'm glad to be able to bring it into the NoFap adventure! I think that taking your time, over a period of years, to learn about every country on the planet is something that everyone would benefit from doing, whether for NoFap or not.

We have reviewed your application here at Discovery Travel, and with your investment of 24 NP Pesos (but your counter says 26?) we can offer you:
  • Passport processing and delivery
  • Flight to Afghanistan
  • Flight to Albania
All you would need to do is let us know that you have watched the passport video, one video for Afghanistan and one for Albania, and then post a comment about your trip to Albania. It can be one sentence, an entire page or anything in-between; that is up to you. Once this is done, we will be honored to add you to The Travel Board. Enjoy your trips!
Yes, man! I hope more and more people take part in this adventure.

Yes, I started my streak a day before the starting of the month, so I guess my counter is updated. lol I find it weird when there's a disparity between what the guy is saying and his counter.

I'll visit Afghanistan and Albania sometime this weekend. Thanks for issuing the passport and tickets! :)
This is a great initiative, people need to learn more about other cultures!

PS: As much I think Youtube is useless, it is infact useful you just have to look for useful content!

Just finished my trip to afghanistan and I learned a bunch of new things.

Apparently Afghanistan is very well known for it's juices and people drink them there all the time. Also, i saw that there is this market in Kabul (the capital) that just sells birds which sounded very interesting.

The most interesting part of the trip for me was seing the amount/scale of places where you can see no human intervention at all (No roads/buildings/houses...), since I live in Western Europe im really not use to coming in contact with very vast areas of untouched wilderness.

Loved the trip - will be visiting Albania tomorrow (Can't wait!)

YES! So do I! We will take over the world!! (Almost literally hahaha :))

Nice! No problem! It'll definitely be a nice getaway weekend for you. And then you'll be good to go for Algeria!

Thanks! And you are so right! And anyone who does this challenge will certainly learn a lot.

Yep, there's actually a lot of great stuff on Youtube. The trick is finding it. I think I can say the same for Facebook. I have come across extremely valuable content there, but, you have to get through all the garbage first lol. Glad to have you on board Asgardian.

Excellent! Yes those bird markets are something else. Glad that you learned so much! You have now been added to The Travel Board belio123! Congratulations!! Enjoy Albania!

I leave for Afghanistan in just three days! Very excited and a little nervous. I like to travel light so I'm packing just the essentials:

Casual collar
Formal collar
Doggie treats for the flight
Favorite blankie
Squeaky toys
Brush
Sunglasses
Jaunty bandana
Frisbee

@belio123 I am especially looking forward to marauding through the bird market. It's gonna be wild.

Just got back from Albania and Wow...

That place is really incredible - I had no idea it was that beautiful/diverse, it is now very near the top of my bucket list of places to visit IRL.

I didn't learn much (as I mostly found just landscape videos with no commentary) but I was blown away by the natural beauty of the place and it just kept reminding of the game Assasin's Creed Odyssey.

I felt the same way. I found one video where they showed how much Albanian culture is influenced from the Ottoman Empire who occupied them for something like 500 years I think, and was Muslim. They showed a guy playing traditional Albanian music on a string instrument and it sounded very, very middle eastern. It was also in their architecture, etc. You just don't tend to think of Albania as being Muslim influenced really. I'm a tour guide in real life, so I really dig this kind of stuff lol. Glad you had an eye-opening trip! Congratulations my man, Travel Board Updated!!

I had no idea that was the case as well - I might just have to look for other videos so i can learn more about the cultural/historic side!

Howdy jetsetters. Hope you're all having an amazing weekend.

Just wanted to mention that since I originally posted this challenge, I've gone back to the first post (as well as post #2) and added a bunch of stuff. There were a lot of details that I originally missed so I've been going back and filling them in. I'm probably still not done lol. So when you get a chance, it would be awesome if you re-read the first post again.

We're in the homestretch of 2019 now! Let's finish strong :emoji_checkered_flag:

I just got back from Afghanistan and after running through the bird market and getting out of the city, I ran out into the countryside and ran through some sheep herds. There I found out there are three popular dog breeds for herding and guarding sheep: the Kuchi, Alabai, and Tobet breeds. Unfortunately they are also used for dog fighting and they are big and tough so I ran off across some desert up into the mountains and discovered that there are grey wolves there, still occupying 90% of their original range. So I hung out with those guys for a while and chased some mountain goats and stuff and then snuck back to Kabul for my flight home. Where it just so happened that I met a lovely Afghan hound with a hairdo like Farrah Fawcett and though we couldn't speak one another's language, we shared a special moment touching noses before her owner screamed something in another language and jerked her away and everyone started throwing things at me and I leaped into the baggage area and managed to stow away on a plane going I think to Albania.
