What ever your attraction is you need to find something else to focus on. Acknowledge it is there but then turn away from it and get your mind busy with something else. In time these things will lose a lot of their power.

 

If you mean 70 yeah, I’d work on that, if you mean 50, that’s not so bad. Are you seeking a relationship with them or just using them to M?

 

I see it’s not the age that’s the problem it’s the objectification of women that’s the problem.

 

We are all working on this on nofap. That is the big reason it’s so bad. Try to instill the belief in yourself that true human relationships are what will make you whole. Not people by objectifying them. Not something to be used but appreciated and/or loved for who they are.
Yeah, it’s a hard thing but has the potential to make us happy human beings.

This, right here, is the problem; not your attraction to women of any age.

There are thousands of attractive 40-something women in your area. It's normal for you to fancy them. I think one of the good things for a man about getting away from porn is that you can have more sexual feelings for a wider range of women. *It's natural and it's good*. It is just wrong to believe women above 30 or 40 must be put in a category of non-sexual humans.

It's also okay if you have a preference for (or a fetish for, if you like) older women. You may not find it easy to date a woman 10 or 15 years older than you, because many women like that will think you too immature to be attractive. But if you did have an older partner it could be seriously exciting and fulfilling for you and her. You should not be wasting these urges on porn.

Far better though to live that preference by getting to know an older woman and ask her on a date, than just to see older women as a porn category. This is actually a really good example of the worst of porn's effects. Porn seem to lead many men both to sexually obsess over older women in private, but at the same time to totally dismiss the idea of actually being with an older woman in reality. The logical end result of this is that older women find dating harder and are more often alone and getting no sex, while men just wank over pictures of them. "MILF" is a lie. It actually means "MIL to wank over a photo of".

I do think there comes a point where obsessive thoughts only about older women, or about a really extreme age gap between you and a woman, is a problem. It ought to be possible for you to feel attraction to women of most ages, and without putting a number on it I'd worry if I had a thing about women *very* much older than me. There comes a point where a relationship is unrealistic. But I think obsessions like these are probably mostly caused by porn escalation, so giving up porn is likely to bring your sexual thoughts back into proportion.

So, keep it real. If after rebooting you still fancy women 20 years older than you - no problem. That'll be a natural feeling, so date some of these women, put the "ILF" bit into practice and have a real relationship with one of them.

The big problem that I used to run into several years ago is that all the nice older women were married. Now, I like a girl 5 years older than me, single this time. The problem is that my attraction to her is "mysterious," rather than being based on compatibility.

I feel much more complete with girls that are younger, sometimes 5 or more years younger! While they may be 18-21, the problem is that they seem to act like middle schoolers. Buddy, that just doesn't do anything for me, there would be something wrong if it did! It is confusing to be honest with you, I'm just praying that the right one comes!
