    Peace,

My life, commute, and work has made the audiobook something seriously worth acquiring and using. Because I mostly ignorant on this subject, I figured I would see what you all have to offer in terms of advice.

What devices and services work best for audiobooks? Are there any free downloads/applications? Any information that is practicable is worth sharing here.

    Thank you in advance,
    God bless,
    A Modern Miroku

All that comes to mind is audible, I listen to more podcasts than audiobooks.
But man you should check out 'All Quiet On the Western Front' once you do figure it out.

Podcasts count as well! Really, anything that can be listened to in a manner comparable to the audiobook. I simply have a preference to books in my current plan. But I am that ignorant. Assume that I know almost nothing!

@Slimjimjones How about pdf readers, exist anything legit good to turn pdf into audiobooks yet? I want that, I struggle to find the books I want or need on audio format

I'd hope so, I'm not an expert audiobooker myself so I'm definitely not that man to ask, but hey nice seeing you around again.
As to OP I honestly just use spotify to listen to podcasts, I hope you find what you're looking for though!

    Cheers!

On my iPhone (iOS) I simply use VLC for audiobooks - am able to side-load mp3 audiofiles by accessing a URL from the main computer, and uploading it from there is SPAM REMOVED (spam code #001) - REPORT TO MODERATION.

Also I'm a fan of podcasts, I paid for the Downcast app as I like it a lot better than the stock app. Others like Outcast FWIW, there are a lot of different podcast apps out there (but it has been a few years since I've looked around). One podcast I really like is Porn Free Radio.

For audio books listen to the stormlight archive, it's fantasy but it not like anything else. Or anything from Brandon Sanderson. And for podcasts listen to the magnus archive, it's mystery horror but not to scary.
