Anyone else have reoccurring patterns of relapsing soon after you start to look at eye candy? Especially after 5 plus days in, it's the same as looking at porn: at least in the sense of it leading to a relapse.

    Can anyone else relate?

Very much so. However I have been led to believe that the way round it is to admire without desiring

It is essential not to search up eye candy of your own will. Artificial stimuli is what retards our brains rebooting.

I personally think that's nonsense. In my opinion you are overthinking it. Which in it's self can cause problems.

There is certainly nothing wrong with looking at women in the real world. But even seeing hot women on tv, on the internet. If you know it doesn't resemble your old addicted behaviour, then what is the problem?

So appreciate but don't desire? And don't look for it, but if it comes Into eye view on its own you already looked, now move on?

I thought you were talking about pictures on the internet. Well, if you see an attractive woman on the street you can certainly look, but you must not let that create thoughts of lust that will help you to relapse in your pmo addiction when you get home.

  7. As was said many centuries ago by someone rather famous, "anyone who looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart." The mind follows the desires, and the desires follow the thoughts. If one starts thinking in that direction, the desires (heart) and the body will tend to follow. There is a sort of "chaser effect" to those thoughts which makes resistance brutally more difficult. Basically, if one is determined to contain himself, one does a disservice to himself to permit his mind to look with desire upon any woman, whether in real life or otherwise.

I stop thinking about this addiction when I stop looking at attractive girls. To the point I feel I'm "cured" until I indulge.
