Last night after falling a sleep I woke up in the middle of the night again but as soon as I closed my eyes, I began getting attacked back and forth by porn flash backs and even sexual thoughts out of nowhere which would catch me off guard so right now I am wondering....does that count as a relapse? The thoughts were making it hard for me to fall asleep

No definitely not brother. Try not to be hard on yourself. There are some things you can control, some things you can't. You didn't willing open porn, watch it and masturbate.

I have implemented practices that have helped me manage issues like these. These techniques are not for everyone, so give them a try only if you want to or feel comfortable with them:
I practice mantras, meditation, and yogic techniques found in Brahmacharya. They are designed to sublimate the excess build up of sexual energy. I also take cold showers. Since having started all these techniques about a year ago, they have helped me in my journey immensely. I don't get wet dreams, my thoughts are generally calm and a lot purer, I'm aware enough to bring my thoughts back if it starts going into dangerous territory (fantasies, porn,) I generally don't look after women lustfully (which I believe sends us into a dangerous place), I have more energy, and I don't get those massive buildups in my genitals or heat buildup which makes me feel like I have to release physically or it will explode anyway . Anyway brother, just some things that really helped me. Best of luck on your journey!

Thank you so much for your response guys....and what do you guys think about the sexual images that appear on TV or on the internet? Is that a relapse? Or only when you're intentionally in search of them?

Yeah, you can't expect to go the rest of your life without seeing sexual stuff. This whole world is sexual. It's all about intention and how you respond. If you weren't expecting it, it most definitely isn't a relapse. But if your intention is dishonest. If you're testing yourself or edging, than I would say you're definitely in dangerous territory, and you may end up relapsing. Just like if you see a sexual image or fantasy and you sit in it and indulge it, you'll probably end up relapsing. But if you're honestly trying to stay away, small incidents like these won't affect you. In my last 30 days, I've accidentally seen or heard things. I just walk away, change it, and move on. I couldn't control it, so I don't need to beat myself up.

So it's a relapse only if you're intentionally trying to search for it?
