Best smartphone for blocking porn

    It’s time for me to buy a new phone. What’s your opinion on the best smartphone for blocking porn, including nudity? (I realize dumb phones are probably better for this, but I rely pretty heavily on camera, maps, GPS, calendar, weather, podcasts, notes, and Yelp.)

    For context, I have an iPhone 6S right now and it’s been pretty good but not perfect. Pros and cons:

    Pros:
    - iPhone restrictions has allowed me to block objectionable content and many specific websites, as well as blocking the ability to download new apps or delete old ones
    - Works pretty well with the Freedom app, which allows me to set an all-internet block at night

    Cons:
    - The iPhone restrictions passcode is only four digits long, and therefore hard to forget if you’re trying to self-moderate
    - Nevertheless, I have managed to forget the password, and now I can’t add more websites to block after discovering them in my weaker moments (nor can I download new apps)
    - Freedom sometimes goes inactive, so I have to wake it up to block the internet
    - I tried using the K9 browsing app instead of Safari, but it was super buggy and caused lots of crashes (maybe that’s true for any smartphone)

    Android is way better than iPhone but camera always depends on the price. The higher the price means better camera and performance overall. There is apps on Google Play Store to specifically disable porn websites. I dont know if iPhone has that but one more thing i know is battery is much better on Android.
    Im using Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 its just an android phone its everything is in mid - low range and it has 4000mah battery which last me 15 hours and your phone Iphone 6s has 1715mah which is so minimal and having gps maps and your other stuff would make an iPhone a terrible disicion. I recommend you buying an Android with at least 3000 mah battery, i dont know your price range so i cant recommend you any phones but i suggest you should check Xiaomi phones.

    I had the same problem with my phone, most of my relapses had been triggering by my smartphone, so I decided to install porn block software on my phone, however it did perfectly its job, it could not solve my issues, as a porn addict always found porn and sex in a new way, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, even craigslist, finding someone for sexting and etc. Recently, I made a new decision, I have removed all of the apps could lead me to sexual materials, every app including browser and google play store, and just kept app that I really needed like messaging, maps, camera and so on. by installing "smart app lock" I would able to prevent installing a new app on my phone, I have set a password which I have forgotten it, there is no way to access simplest sexual materials with my smartphone but still, I can take advantages of my smartphones. if I had not done, I should have stopped using the smartphone at all.

    and needs to mention, my phone is Android because it gives me more ability to restrict my phone

    Thanks for the replies. shr6557, how does Android give you more ability for restrictions? And can you do a more complicated password than just four digits? synaprd, do you have personal experience with porn-blocking apps on Android? If so, which ones would you recommend?
