Beta to alpha

Discussion in 'Self Improvement' started by SDJR, Aug 16, 2021.

  1. As a man thinketh... so is he. There is an alpha and beta in each of us, and it is up to you to decide which one to unlock

Does anyone wonder if it's simply the difference in test?

  3. by test, you mean testosterone? Yes, that definitely is one of the biggest difference makers.

But the truth is, fappers are beta, and nofappers are alpha. Fapping lowers testosterone, and makes you weak and also makes you feel inferior to others. Also, by watching porn, you are conditioning yourself to be beta as you are not the one doing the action.

Consider humans in the caveman days. The weaker men who cannot attract women must resort to fapping

Anyways, life style is half if not more to the equation...

"I'm personally a believer in you are who you are and you should avoid fighting it."
I strongly disagree and I even feel sorry you feel this way, because this means you have fixed mindset instead of growth mindset. You should look at all of the people who have lost over 100 pounds and have completely transformed. If they just believed 'that's how I am. I was made to be fat, dont fight it', then they never would have seen what they could become.

I hope what I wrote helps you develop a growth mindset. As a man thinketh.. so is he

You're correct. It is a very sad view... I've tried "transforming" my self and have always failed. I suppose it's easier to say to yourself that this is how it is then to figure out another way..failure has been tiresome.

    This.

Also, when it comes to building muscle in the gym - it's not an easy feat. In the end of July I decided I'm going to start going to the gym - and just in a month I have a visible and clear difference. I want to boast and brag about it so badly, but on the other hand I know there's still a lot more to gain.

First time in the gym, I started out with 3kg dumbbells.
Now my workouts are a mix between 7.5kg - 12.5kg depending on which exercises I'm doing.
I also ate for about 2 times everyday before going in the gym. Now that has built up to 5-6 times currently (focusing a lot on oatmeal for the protein intake).
I've written about my progress in my journal if you're interested in taking a peak. It's all about determination in the gym (to do the exercises until it burns) and cleaner eating.

There is a lot of low-self confidence on every skinny guy's head when arriving in the gym, but the quicker you realize that's just in your head, the better. Personally, I have a very clear goal on why I'm doing this, hence I'm pushing myself for 5-6 trainings per week, varying from one to two hours in length.
The important thing is to have a plan of which muscles / body parts of you are looking to improve and just do you own thing.

I find it really funny how guys think they can go from a "beta" male to "alpha" male. Alphas are born with alpha traits plain and simple. It's obvious to us women when you are beta trying to act confident and like an "alpha" when you aren't

I agree with that. I have a friend who specifically talks with a very deep voice. He's a skinny guy who puts on a good alpha show.. and it fools some people but I know exactly what youre talking about.
I know two or three truly truly alphas. And believe it or not you can actually see them try and act beta to keep themselves out of trouble!

This is a good one. I've been doing weights on my house with a homemade dumbbell. I saw the change after 3 months.

  11. My definition of alpha is a man who takes responsibility for his life and is not afraid to push the limits to accomplish what needs to be done, David Goggins is a good example of that.

there is only one study that show abstaining from porn can increase your test after 8 days if you ejaculate on the 8th day, after that it lower itself and go back to normal, i believe it is the study being at the foundation of this site or maybe gary wilson in any case sexual related activity or working out in general has been shown to increase test not lower it.

It is a study that says if you do not ejaculate for 7-8 days, your testosterone levels will suffer an increase but the levels drop back to normal.
Honestly, I don't think we're here because of that, we're here because is not normal watching other people have sex. It's not normal having the brain flooded with chemicals all the day. It's not normal watch people being tortured and raped on a screen. It's not normal to masturbate all days 3 times per day.
We are here because we deserve a healthy sexual life and behavior whereas we don't compromise other people's wellness. Unfortunately, we got engaged in this addiction because we were young (and still young) and what started as a curiosity and apparently no harming behavior, ended as a life destroying behavior.

The Alpha and Beta comes from a a study on wolves but years later the same person admited to make a mistake but it was too late, Alpha vs Beta became some much in culture itself that it cant be removed anymore.

I assume you mean the "typical" meaning of alfa and beta but our society isnt just alpha or beta only.
In fact after alot of thinking, I doubt many people want to be "alpha" because "alpha" is almost a superman figure, like a guy who puts ideals or other people above himself but HAS the AUTHORITY to take COMMAND when needed (not just to demonstrate power for himself) and can put mischievous people in their place for the sake of a group's integrity or not allowing the behaviour turn to fully evil.

I can say it for myself that I aint one and dont want to be one but only want to live my life in some way I see it fit rather than just "driffting along"

Those types of people are rare because not many want to be that way in the first place, by typically "alpha" most just dont want to be a doormat or chump, thats different from putting something above yourself ,ideals etc etc.
I do know someone who is sure of himself but lacks other areas ,he's somewhat of a jerk in a sense but we do get along as long as he doesnt cross the line.

Most of us, look for our own best most of the time, its nothing wrong about it ,its just part of who we are, which is what typically "alpha" is looked as , a set of confidence , skills and strength to actually pull it off BUT that doesnt make you Superman but just some person who is somewhat sure of himself (nobody is really 100% sure of himself but "close enough") and it doesnt make you good or bad just having the ability to pull it off.

Now after all that to answer your question , a person who was a typical doormat all their lives isnt really gonna turn into Mr. or Ms Ceo all over sudden, thats just not gonna happen but you can be the person who confronts the CEO when your needs are not met and take decisions for him/herself without fear.
