Beyond 90 Days

    @real_tywin_lannister Thanks man! 28 days is a pretty big achievement, you should be proud of yourself! It sounds like you are going through a flatline, although I never really experienced pain in the balls. My journey has been quite different from a lot of guys I feel, in that urges have never really been a problem. For the first 3 and a half months I was in a flatline where I totally lost my libido. My dick was tiny and dead, I couldn't have fapped even if I'd wanted to. Even now that I am over the flatline, and my cock has returned to a larger size than it was before I started, and I feel good most of the time, my libido still comes and goes.

    The issue with the flatline is that your brain has become addicted to the excess dopamine of PMO. NoFap starves the brain of dopamine. The receptors you damaged through PMO will grow back, and when they do all of the symptoms you are experiencing will fade away. And you'll feel really really good. The best thing to do for brain fog is do things that naturally release dopamine in healthy ways. So if you don't already do these things, I'd suggest lifting weights, eating a high protein diet and making sure you get a lot of healthy fats (avacados, butter), cold showers, yoga, meditation, read books everyday, making sure you get plenty of sleep. I know that sometimes these things can be easier said than done when your feeling like shit, but if you implement a few of these into your daily routine you should see a reduction in the brain fog and low apathetic mood that can occur during the flatline. I hope that is in some way helpful!

The most exciting thing about your story for me is that i have been doing some of the same things like you Wif hoff breathing technique, cold showers and ice baths, hitting the gym hard, eating clean and 16-8 IF. I feel a lot better and confident each day, although get crazy occasional morning woods and my mind instantly flashes back to some of the disgusting porn videos that i used to watch. However, so far i have completely endured and controlled my erections by sheer determination to succeed. I'm so excited for this journey and feel confident that i can reach where you are today! Congratulations brother this is huge! Thank you so much for the journal too, it helps a lot to read through the same things that i am going through!

    @realalphamale9124 Thanks mate, means a lot to hear that you got so much from my story. Sounds like you are doing a lot of the same stuff as me! Like I said in an earlier post, I think NoFap is powerful but its really only one of many tools. All of that stuff you are doing, its the key to unlocking your masculine potential. How long have you been doing the Wim Hoff stuff for? I'm approaching six months with it now, can't wait for winter to come back and the cold weather haha. I get morning wood pretty much every morning too at the moment, and my sleep and libido are way better than they were. I'm sure you will hit 90 days yourself in no time, seems like you are really committed!
     
  7. @shadow1234 I have been doing wim hoff for about 3 weeks now, already feeling the benefits.I used to always catch a flu during winter, will be interesting to see this year how wim hoff stuff changes my immune system. Like you said, I also feel like all these tools together work in synergy and you get compounded benefits, thinking about adding meditation to my routine. Slowly, I want to condition my body to feel amazing at all times with high energy levels, work towards a worthy and meaningful goal and eventually go back to the dating scene and find someone truly special ! Im excited for life and feel good things are in the horizon! Thanks to folks like you at this forum who are determined to achieve success and work towards personal development stuff! Keep up the good work and continue to post about your journey! I will be following for sure.

    This is some really helpful stuff mate, thank you for sharing!

    I too have noticed back pain recovery during streaks. I tend to recover better from gym or manual labour jobs at the moment.

    And regarding a musical instrument, I used to play guitar as a teen, tried it again a few years ago before nofap and just couldn't re-learn it and soon lost the interest. Now with the same guitar and music I'm having an easier and much more enjoyable experience.

    All I've done so far is memorise a few chords and improvise how I play them, the natural reward though is great!

    @realalphamale9124 yeah winter this time round will be really interesting, that's for sure! I feel like you have really similar goals to me mate, and I wish you the best of luck on your path! I'm nearing the point where I'm ready to go back to dating, but still have a little healing left to do first.

    That's so interesting about the pain! I've also noticed faster recovery after hitting the weights. I wonder why that could be?

    That's awesome to hear about the guitar playing! I've read in a few places that learning an instrument or another language can ramp up the benefits of NoFap. At the moment I have my hands full with a thesis, which is eating up most of my spare time outside of work, but after the summer (when its due in) I am going to learn an instrument, perhaps the piano!

    I honestly think it's a diversion of energy. Say one would PMO once a week, might take the whole week to recover to a normal level of energy again. Now if the body simply doesn't have to do that, it can allocate a lot more % of energy to repairing muscle cells. Well that's my theory lol!

    For sure, piano is something you can pick up at any time and adapt to just about any style. And best of luck with your thesis man!

    @Reborn16 you definitely save energy that you would otherwise spend fapping, it could somehow have an impact on how your muscles respond to exercise. You also lose zinc when you O, which is really important for men and the production of testosterone. I take a zinc supplement now, as well as not Oing at the moment, to get those levels topped up.

    Hey dude! This sounds awesome. You haven't dated girls in the full 3 month? Because I'm trying nofap since a week and I don't have any problems. I have a girlfriend and I love to have sex with her. You haven't had sex for 3 month right?

    @TheJokerBoy Thanks man! Yeah that's right, I've been celibate since around April. I actually had an earlier streak from the end of January until the start of April where I was still sleeping with two girls that I was dating (there was a bit of overlap, then I decided to focus on one and get a little bit more serious with her, until it fizzled out due to very different lifestyles and interests), but I hit a flatline pretty early on and after that I found it very difficult to get it up or enjoy sex. I was pretty much asexual for about 3 months! Now my libido is back some of the time, but still comes and goes. Did you have PIED before you started NoFap?

    Day 106 of NoFap! My libido has been down for the last week, feel really good otherwise though. Not sure if this is just part of a cycle of flatlines or if it is because it is time to continue my rebooting with a real woman. Either way, I am staying celibate for the time being. I am actually talking to a few girls at the moment but really don't have the time to date with so much going on! Plus I've been having a think about how I want to date from now on, how I want to approach relationships in the future. The truth is I'm a romantic, and am happiest when deeply in love with a girl as sensitive and who cares about things as much as I do. But over the last few years I've had a lot of casual flings with girls, a lot of one night stands and casual things that now that I look back at them, have really been no better for me than when I used p. And have often left me feeling empty/nihlistic afterwards. And it also seems that a lot of attention from a particular kind of girl - normally the kind that is out three or four nights a week partying and has an attitude on her. These women are really no good for me. In the past I would often date girls I knew were bad news just because I wanted the sex. But I am not going to be like that from now on. I didn't go through all of this work just so I could sleep around with girls that don't care about me and don't share my values. I'm approaching dating in a different way than I did before NoFap now. I want to take my time. I want to really get to know a few girls, before finding one that I like and taking the time to really get to know her and create something a little bit special. One thing that scares me is that when I do find a girl I like, I'm gonna have to be honest with her about NoFap. About what my body has been through, about the fact that it may take me a while to get back into the swing of things. That scares me a lot because when PIED has plagued me in the past, I've always felt deeply ashamed and humiliated. For a long time I didn't know what caused it. Afterwards I would always try to hide it from my friends, make excuses in my head that it was because of alcohol or drugs I was taking at the time. Meanwhile never questioning how rock solid I could get while watching fucked up p on my laptop. Things greatly improved when I gave up p a few years back, but PIED still reared its head from time to time. Even in relationships with girls I really loved. Luckily I have had a few really good women who have loved me over the years, who helped my confidence by reassuring me and not making me feel worthless when it did happen. With those girls I always managed to come back to life with a little TLC and end up having amazing mind blowing sex. Of course, there were those girls who weren't as understanding too - and that just added to the excuse making and feelings of shame.

    I want to start having sex with women again, but I want to do it right. I want to find a girl who really likes me, I want to be honest with her about what I'm going through, and I want to slowly finish the rewiring process with someone that is on my side, not just looking to get fucked and move on. I know there are a lot of guys on here in committed relationships. I envy you a little bit, must be a good feeling to have someone in your corner throughout this. But I also know that it comes with its own pitfalls and challenges. Are there any guys reading this who have done NoFap on hard mode, celibate like I have done it, and who have been through a harsh flatline, then tried to have sex again after it receded? What happened, did everything work? How did you get your body back into the swing of things? I would really appreciate any advice, I feel like up until now has been the easy part really, resetting my brain and body. Now I've actually got to do the real work.
