Big issues with new medication. Need advice.

    Some weeks ago I was diagnosed with , among other issues , severe Attention Deficit Disorder. It had a huge impact on my impulse control, concentration and ability to function day to day, so was a possible big factor in my addiction.

    I was put on a medication that does improve it to a great degree with only one side effect for me, but it's a huge side effect. The medication effects the area of the brain that controls the prostate and ejaculatory function so one hour to an hour and a half after taking a dose, I blow in my pants.

    I'm not looking at P or playing with myself, I can be doing nothing more erotic than taking out the trash and it happens. Been to the Doctors and there is another type of medication that may help, but it may have the exact same side effect on top of being addictive which my current medication is not.

    This medication fixes a lot of my self control , impulse control and concentration issues, but I will spontaneously ejaculate if I take it. I wish this was a bad joke, but it's a very real problem I'm having to puzzle out. Any advice?

    Bro I don't mean to laugh but the way you worded that was hilarious. In all seriousness this sounds horrible man and I really hope the best for you. I almost wish I had that problem but instead I can't even get an erection. Combination of pied and nerve damage from 3 hip surgeries. Wish I had words of advice but can only offer my encouragement. All the best man.

    I don't actually have any other side effects and nothing negative comes from taking it (apart from what I stated) and the benefits make me seem like a completely different person in a wonderful way. The only other medication that does the same trick that's suitable for me may have the same or worse side effects and is addictive to boot.

    NOT A MEDICAL OPINION: In the Therapeutic Advances in Psychopharmacology journal, Oncu, Colak and Er looked at this side effect in "Me**********-induced spontaneous ejaculation" (2015 Feb; 5(1): 59–61). (redacted for privacy reasons)
    "This case report suggests that clinicians should be aware that MPH may induce some unusual side effects such as spontaneous ejaculation. Further research is needed to understand the exact mechanism and treatment options for this rare side effect."
    They tentatively suggest that an SSRI (to increase serotonin) taken with the ADHD medication may help this symptom but ultimately conclude that more research on this rare side effect is needed. Talk to your doctor again, get a second opinion or see a specialist for other options.

    Enjoy! Other medications come complete with ED and loss of libido.
    If the new medication is working well, and random spontaneous ejaculation is the only side effect, it sounds like you need a solution to avoid the wet spot. Light day feminine pads might fix that problem. Just don't flush them.;)
    The side effect may disappear with time, and the improved concentration should help with your reboot.
